Booked us a car on the phone (for an emergency) and told us they close at 1. When we took a car service there, they said they were closed, had no cars, and left my husband outside in 30 degree weather. Unacceptable. I'm a long time Enterprise customer and will never use them again.

I don't like being robbed. I forgot my charger in the rental car for only 10 minutes when I called to look for it, it was gone, they have to have a decent employee so they don't steal??

I have rented from many other Enterprises and never had an issue. I come to this place and I need all types of forms of mail and ID. I come back another day with every that was asked for. I still needed more and what I had the first title was no longer good enough. I come back for a third time, same issue. not good enough or correct. Even the paperwork that was accepted the first and second time was no longer accepted. I come with a friend who has rented many times from this location, never had an issue and they were handing him the keys until he turned to me and added me as a driver. The employee at the desk who has denied me the many times before almost passed out when he saw my face. He now needed more paperwork and blood, basically. Gave him all he needed and now he no longer had the car he was giving my friend. They we're all out of all cars, trucks and SUVs, right after handing my friend a list of the cars they had available, once he saw my face. My friend couldn't believe the discrimination happening right in front of his own eyes. He asked why did they have such a problem with renting to a black man and the employee had no words. He explained he was closing and had no cars left.

I initially contacted Enterprise on Monday 3/27, with the intent of renting a car beginning on Tuesday 3/28 from the Avon, CT facility. I reserved the vehicle through the central office. Later that day I contacted the Avon facility to verify the reservation. The Avon office informed me that they would not have a car available until Wednesday, which did not work for me. The representative at the Avon facility recommended that I contact the Torrington, CT facility. Obviously, there is a problem with your reservation system, coordinating between your main office and local facilities. Lucky I called ahead!I contacted the Torrington, CT facility and made a reservation, with pick-up scheduled for Tuesday morning, March 28. When I picked up the car, the Torrington sales rep, had me walk around the car to inspect for damage. At that time, I did not see any body damage, however, the passenger side of the car was parked against a curb, which was approximately 14 inches high, obstructing my ability to see the bottom portion of this side of the car. From what was visible to me, I did not see any body damage. (More on this later). When I sat in the car prior to leaving, I noticed the obvious aroma of marijuana in the car. By this time, Ritchie had gone back into the building and I was in a bit of a rush, so I did not say anything at this time. I have no way to prove that I smelled marijuana, but trust me, I went to college; it was weed!On Wednesdays morning, the “Check Engine” light went on. I called the Torrington facility to report this issue. The sales rep, requested that I drive to the Enterprise - Torrington facility to exchange the car. I informed the representative that I did not have the time to drive to Torrington. He recommended that I contact the main number and they should arrange for a car to be delivered to me.I contacted the central number. The customer service rep who asked me if I could drive to the facility at Bradley International Airport to exchange the car. I did not have the time to do this, as BWI is 30 minutes from my home. She did not offer to have a car delivered to me, so I decided to continue to drive the car. I was planning to drop the car off early on Thursday, so I decided to take the risk.I dropped off the car on Thursday morning and left the facility. Early in the afternoon, I received a call from a representative from the Torrington facility he informed that body damage was found between the front door and the wheel well on the passenger side of the vehicle and that I would be responsible for paying for the repair. I swear that I did not anything with the vehicle which would have caused this damage As I noted earlier, when I picked up the car, it was positioned so that that portion of the car, with the damage, was hidden by the high curb adjacent to where the car was parked when I inspected it. In addition, there is a wrought iron railing along the sidewalk, near the edge of the curb, which also obstructed access to this side of the carIt is obvious that the Torrington facility does not property maintain their vehicles. The odor of marijuana was obvious and the check engine would not be activated if the car was properly maintained.I am very unhappy and frustrated with my experience with Enterprise and will do my best never to deal with your company again. I welcome a representative from Enterprise to contact me regarding the facts of this narrative.

Seems like all the reviews for this Enterprise location are 5 Stars or 1 Star, love'um or hate'um. I have used them twice for rentals in the last couple of months -- the first time, everything went smoothly, rented a budget car for a trip down to Jersey (the 1st vehicle they showed me reeked of pot, but they had a back up). My 2nd rental experience didn't go as well, no vehicles were available when I walked in last Saturday, and I had to go to the Avon location to obtain one. It was partly my fault for not making an advanced reservation, but my trip was on short notice and I figured I had no problems the time before. Lesson learned. But it makes you wonder, if your only business is renting cars, shouldn't you always have some available ? Maybe it speaks more to the state of affairs of our current economy than anything else though. Once I was in a vehicle and on my way, all my expectations were met.

I was in an accident and needed to rent a car while mine was being repaired. They were easy to work with. Got me a car that fit my needs. I had it for 4 weeks. It was clean and well equipped with wipes for my safety. The staff was very friendly and explained everything. I definitely recommend them.
