I've been shopping at Market 32 since the day they opened the new store. There are dandelion greens and many different types of kale! One day when the fabulous radishes were not there, I spoke to a woman I thought was simply a pair of hands -- and she informed me that the radishes just were not up to snuff that week and she passed them by! What a help that is! I rarely go to the middle of the store – but the Produce, the Bakery, the Meat Department where you can find tomahawk steaks and grass fed beef, and the Fish department - where you can find things fresh and there's someone to talk to who can guide you to what's especially good -- it all makes a difference. I wish the Price Chopper fellows had the courage to go all the way – but for the moment, what they're doing is so greatly appreciated! And -- by the way -- there is someone packing your groceries while you're unpacking your cart. The help is terrific. And I thank them. Overlook the fact that they're in a Wallmart Strip Mall -- and give them a try. You'll be pleased you did.

Market 32 is terrible in the customer service area regarding bottle and cans return! They sell you and collect deposits but their machines are not calibrated to take all of what they sell back! Had to go into the store and see a manager to get the recycle employee to his job! Then on top of it all he was extremely rude! Big Y is looking better and better!

Extremely Racist and Disrespectful Behavior from Employee Named Penny
I am writing this to bring attention to the unacceptable behavior I experienced at Market 32 in Torrington, specifically from an employee named Penny. As a Black woman and a mother, I was deeply hurt and humiliated by her actions and comments.
Penny was not only incredibly rude and condescending, but she also made blatantly racist and discriminatory remarks toward me and my children. She accused me of shoplifting without any cause or evidence, made derogatory comments about my use of an EBT card, and looked down on me for simply shopping and feeding my family. The racial slurs and overall hateful tone were beyond offensive — they were traumatizing.
This kind of behavior should never be tolerated in any workplace, especially one that serves a diverse community. Market 32 needs to take immediate action to address this. I am requesting a formal apology and accountability from management, including proper diversity and sensitivity training, if not serious disciplinary action against this employee.
No one should be made to feel unwelcome or criminalized because of their race, their financial status, or how they pay for their groceries. I will not be returning until this issue is acknowledged and resolved appropriately.

We had ordered a cake at a bakery and they didn’t pull through so last minute we went to Market 32 and showed Lisa in bakery the picture of what we wanted and within 45 minutes we had exactly what was in the picture!!!!

I was told to always check expiration dates which i try to but clearly i need to do a better job. Bought a 4 pack of starbucks drinks/drank some of one and they were expired from 2023. I googled the date to make sure it wasn't a manufacturers date first . It was a use by! I drank some!! . Then today feb. 25, 2025 I bought a Ken's creamy Italian and a wish bone French dressing. Ken's expired march of 2024 and wishbone expired October of 2023!! Wtf. Then brought all 3 items back the same day (feb 25) and asked for the manager since this is no responsibility of the kid at customer service. Manager told me he didnt know what to say to me. Not even a sorry (even if it wasn't directly his fault) he said they have stockers come at night . Dressings just got done and that Pepsi comes to do starbucks. What's the chances that all these different companies are missing all this expired product. Clearly there is a lot everywhere in this store. This was my favorite grocery store but things are too exspensive now to be buying expired product.

Smallest room that houses Bottle redemption machines always full and not maintained. You should look at ShopRite and Big Y who have better machines and no problems worst part of your store

ordered a cake with whipped icing but received buttercream which everyone in the family hates, hence why we would never order it. this is not the first time this has happened with this bakery and its just not worth the hassle of guessing if it will be correct or not. there’s simply no time to have it redone which we shouldn’t need as an option!!

I love market 32/price chopper. But there’s never enough pick up spots. Someone like me who has a baby it’s easier to pick up my groceries but when there’s only like two spots and everyone who’s not picking up parks in it is a problem.
