My experience at Midas for an oil change was exceptional. They took me right at my appointment time, were able to get a part that was needed, while I waited, which was not long. They were in constant contact with me and the service was outstanding!

Brought car in for a muffler. They up-sold me a whole new exhaust plus new brakes (which I was due for). $3000 later and my car is worse than when I initially brought it in. Brought it back the next day because it wasn't getting gas and was SO loud (louder than just a busted muffler). They told me they used cardboard gaskets (cardboard!?) and it must have failed, so they'd do me the "favor" of replacing with metal ones at no charge. For $3000 you give me cardboard!? Said it would take 2 1/2 hours because they'd need to drop the engine block. Half an hour later they called to say it was ready. As soon as I started it, SUPER loud. Shut it off and went back in and was told it was all good, he "even put his hands up to feel for air and there was none", "just need to build up carbon in the new exhaust system for it to quiet down". The car now won't accelerate, it idles really high, I can't get up hills and it's just SO loud! It is in worse shape than when I brought it in, and I paid them $3k to get placated like "some girl". I am livid! I will have to bring it back AGAIN, although I really don't want to, but I am already out so much money I can't afford to go somewhere else and it's under warranty (useless if they won't actually fix the problem). I'll never give them business again in the future though. Buyer beware!!!
Update: now check engine light is on as well as flashing brake warning. I returned it to them before they opened today, and STILL (at 2pm) have not gotten an update. WORST place ever!!!
Update #2 (2 days later): although I am not changing my review because this has been a terrible experience, I would like to add that after others royally screwed up, Juan stepped up. He handled me (behaving like a "Karen") with the utmost professionalism. He took it upon himself to fix what had been broken and clean up everyone else's messes. He returned my car to me today back in working order, and even followed me to the rental place to drop off the rental. He understood what customer service means, and his help was very much appreciated. He should 1000% be management. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very bad taste and I'm not likely to return, but if I did, I would trust Juan (and only Juan) to handle the job.

These guys really took care of me. I brought my car in for a oil change. While there, I also asked if they could read the code on the computer and tell me why the check engine light was on. They did this. Then when I told them that I'd just had this very thing taken care of a week earlier by a different shop. Jason went through every possible problem and reviewed the work that had previously been done to help figure out what went wrong. Then the next day, they put the car up on the lift and inspected the replacement sensors that I'd bought to make help me determine what the other shop had gotten wrong. All I was charged for was the initial oil change. Above and beyond!

I won't go anywhere else! The guys there always take care of me. They're upfront with exactly what I need done and never try to make me get more than I need done. They've got a customer for life!
