They are very kind here. We recently lost our family dog but they were very nice, warm, and compassionate through the process. If we get another puppy we will go here. Prices weren't bad either

All staff is very professional and very nice. The vet doctors are amazing. It’s amazing seeing them interact with animals especially mine.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. I won’t share the story yet until it’s resolved, but just know the staff in this place is INCONSIDERATE, INCOMPETENT, and just plain rude.

I never review places and try not to give negative reviews when I do. This place has saved my animals life in the past and so, because of that, I cannot give them anything lower than a 3 star review. I would give a 1 for this interaction.I am keeping this review vague for anonymity sake as I do not wish to face retaliation from staff against my animal, and truly have no where else I can go for vet care. That being said, after the last phone call I got from them, I am deeply disappointed due to their lack of empathy, poor planning, and chiding behavior that they exhibited.I had scheduled an appointment for my animal at least 8 weeks in advance. My animal is older and, as such, requires a physical. I had also asked for a specific blood panel and urinalysis to be done. I had advised that my animal is not friendly at the vet, and we have utilized same day anesthesia to facilitate treatment in the past. The very kind receptionist went and made sure that the staff would be able to accommodate this, confirmed it was possible and gave me a date and time to be at the facility. She also asked me in passing if my animal had ever gotten gabapentin to calm them prior to seeing the vet. They had never been offered this option prior so I said that my animal had never had it. She quoted me the price for sedation, the tests, the exam, etc etc, and gabapentin wasnt brought up again.I did not choose the date or time, though I did request an appointment for later in the day due to physical limitations regarding my own health and inability to drive. This is an important detail for later.8 weeks came and went, and on the day of the appointment I recieved a phone call 2 hours before we were due to arrive. I had assumed it was a confirmation or them calling to ask me to come earlier or later. Imagine my surprise when they inform me theyre canceling the appointment.I was told that due to the need to sedate, I would need to bring my animal in during the morning so they could stay there for the day to monitor for complications from the anesthesia. I asked why that had changed from the previous times we had been there and was met with a "I cant speak for what happened x amount of years ago" in the most incredulous tone Ive ever had the displeasure of hearing. I was also told "Well of course we cant sedate at this time. What did you expect?" As if I had gone to school to become a veterinarian and was expected to know to correct the 1st woman I had spoken to not to schedule my appointment then due to the super common knowledge that is "anesthesia complications". How very inconsiderate of 8 week in the past me!I, also, realizing that theyd now need to kennel my animal for an entire day, asked how much that is going to cost. My quote magically now became near 200 more dollars than what I was quoted 8 weeks prior. Inflation is really hittin hard!On top of all this, I had told them that my animal acquired their rabies vaccine from another clinic, the first time I spoke to then. The 2nd conversation I also made sure to inform them of my animals vaccination status after they added another 80 dollars to the total. For some reason, they felt the need to repeat, not once, but three times "Right, so its 80 dollars if your animal isnt vaccinated". In the snidest most accusatory tone. I get that people lie about their pets vaccination status, but c'mon lady I got my animals vaccine record and the little collar tag in my bag ffs.The absolute gaul someone has to have to not only cancel an 8 wk out appointment 2 hrs prior, but then go on to add insult to injury by treating the client as if its their fault, theyre stupid for thinking what they were told originally was factually correct, and theyre wasting YOUR time is unfathomable.People suck, I get it, but yall are people too and the call is comin from inside the house on this one.EDIT:What part of "I wish to remain anonymous as I dont want my animal to be retaliated against" makes you believe I feel safe enough with your staff to contact a manager? My animal is

Very disappointed in our over a grand visit. We’ve been very concerned about our dog for a while now, brought up several concerns with the vet. The visit started off awkward as the vet tech acted like she was bothered we were there. Showed no interest in our dog or acted like she even liked animals. I received attitude for bringing up respiratory and cardiac concerns to the tech. Then when the vet arrived she had no knowledge of our dog, even though we had been there maybe a month or two prior and he has been a client since about 2018/2019. We had to remind her of several things, which I understand your busy but take a second to glance over his chart before coming in the room because you’re just wasting both our times and making us lose faith in you treating our dog. The physical exam was so minimal. No palpations of any kind, barely auscultated the heart and lungs. I would have expected more when being assessed for respiratory difficulties. We asked for advice on how to help him when he has these attacks and can’t breathe and she just kept bringing up a separate issue and refused to give us any sort of guidance here. Just was pushing another appointment for a glucose curve which we’ve done several times over the past 2 years and have had no changes or adjustments to his meds, and told he was doing well. Seems like they are only interested in money. We repeated ourselves multiple times expressing our concern and trying to paint the picture more clearly for the vet but she just wouldn’t hear anything we had to say. To the point where she was talking about symptoms we never said our dog had. I genuinely asked if she had the experience and knowledge to treat/care for a diabetic, and she responded so defensively and told me if I didn’t like her treatment to go somewhere else. I would ask a human PCP the same thing, it’s a honest real question and deserves an honest answer. A recommendation to a more specialized vet in diabetes would have been the appropriate response. Since Dr. Littleton has no interest in assisting our dog, we will for sure be taking him elsewhere as she suggested.

We took our cat to North Torrington Veterinary Hospital two days ago as we just moved back home to Torrington and needed a new Vet for our furbaby who has some gastrointestinal issues and needs medication. The staff were kind, informative, and totally admired our boy. They seem to be on the up and up and the first initial visit was VERY affordable!! They handled our cat with care and respect, especially after alerting them that he is skittish around unfamiliar people. That compassion won me over. 4 stars. 5 Hearts. ♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎ I feel we made the right choice for a Vet for our furbaby. Thank you!

Awful customer service! Will be pulling my dog from this place! I haven’t been happy with the increase of pricing and then they sold me on a shot and medicated shampoo for itching that was very pricey and made me think I needed both. The shot worked and I never opened the shampoo. Was told I’d be able to return if unused. Was refused return! They’re losing a very long time customer

Very disappointed with this last visit. I've been taking my cat here since I got her about seven years ago and this last time I brought her for a shot and exam; it's been two years. Vet just asked how's she's been. No looking in eyes, ears, mouth, no listening to respiration, heartbeat, no palpation; basically no physical exam, yet I was charged. Going to be looking for somewhere else.

My vet that I've been a client of for over 40 years could not get me in for 2 months when I adopted a new kitten. NT got me in right away, performed a wellness exam, tested him, did a stool sample test and started his vaccines all before I could see my usual Vet. Everyone was very nice and professional. Thank you so much NT for taking care of my new baby! You are very much appreciated ❤️ ?
