Gary was excellent and knowledgeable. He helped us along the entire process making it very painless and easy. We had no concerns when we picked up the vehicle and he answered all questions promptly and professionally.

Enjoyed working with Gary Synott as he patiently explained differences in models and trims and allowed me to test drive different cars. He went out of his way to ensure I got the vehicle I was interested in when I wanted it, then followed up next day to answer any questions I might have. Appreciated Gary and Mike Levallo staying late to finish up paperwork so I could drive the vehicle home that night. First class operation!

I worked with Steve Smith to buy my new Hyundai Tucson hybrid. He was great as were all of the others who participated in closing the sale and delivering the car. Professional, friendly and not pushy!

Before I purchased a 2012 Hyundai Tucson from this car dealer on May 31, 2023, I inquired about a noise coming from the rear of the car that I heard during the test drive. Was told it was from sitting. I went ahead with the purchase as I figured the people who are in the auto profession would know what they were talking about. I was wrong. Turns out, I had to replace the brakes, rotors and calipers at the end of August, even though the car fax report states the dealership had just replaced the brakes in April 2023. I spoke with the service manager who had a number of reasons why it wasn’t their problem but asked him to review the photos and get back to me. Nothing. I’ve tried reaching out to Jon Alfano but was told he has no voicemail so cannot leave a message, no email and to try again the next day. Today’s excuse is he is away at a convention, left message for next in charge but nothing- again. Sadly, honesty and integrity are not valued business practices exhibited anymore.Highly disappointed with this experience.

Just purchased my third Hyundai all of which were at Torrington Hyundai. Only Hyundai dealer that could deliver the exact model I wanted in a few days and at a Fair Price. Great Sales Team, great service. Worth the 24 mile travel distance.

Have been waiting a month for warranty repair. NONE of my phone calls have been returned. Now my registration is expired and I have to get a temp plate... but I have no idea how long to get one for because the dealership won't let me know how much longer I have to wait. No returned phone calls is super bad service. And I'm having to pay for it.

I took my car to the Torrington Hyundai dealership for two service recalls. I was impressed by the speed that the service department got the car into the garage, and waited in the waiting room which was nice and clean, very comfortable. When the car was done, in slightly less time than I anticipated, I was happy to say that they had done a good job and hadn't tied up my day. However, I was very disturbed when I got home and found the "Service Vehicle Inspection Report" in my email. In the section for tires, the report said "Worn Out / Abnormal Wear/ Damaged /Mismatched". This was quite surprising since I had replaced all 4 tires just exactly one week prior to this appointment. I looked at the tires and they looked still brand new! This was a downright LIE! If I can't trust you to put the truth on an inspection report, how can I trust that you actually did the work you said you had done?

It is a shame that I have to give this company one star because they deserve ZERO! I bought a 15' Hyundai Santa Fe in 2019 with 60,000 miles on it. I bought an extended warranty of 3 years 60k miles. I serviced my car through Torrington Hyundai. In January 2023 I hear acceleration issues with my car, and the check engine light was on. I took it to the dealership and told them that, while on the phone with them a team member had said that he hoped the engine light was connected to the acceleration issues. Well, they fixed something for cheap (under 50$) and sent me on my way. A few months later the noise came back but worse, the engine light on again. I took it to someone I trust near me, he said just by listening to the car that the engine was bad. He said this is a KNOWN problem for Hyundai engines. 113,000 MILES!!! and my engine is no good! Torrington Hyundai takes no responsibility for this happening and is trying to upcharge me on the new engine too. 14k for a new engine or 11k for a bs built one. So, my regular warranty with Hyundai is up by 13k miles. My extended warranty expired by time and NOT miles. The fact that I bought the car there, serviced it there, and them not taking responsibility is saying that it's my fault. My fault that an engine died at 113k miles. HOW? I would NEVER do business with this dealership again. I would NEVER buy a Hyundai again. I took my car to them after I talked to the person I trust, he told me that hyundai should replace my engine because of their track record. They know this is a problem with their cars he said. I dropped it off, it took weeks to even get them to look at it at first. They then told me there was nothing they could do for me. I went there to pick my car up because I wasn't about to pay these outrageous prices for engines on a Hyundai with 113k miles. I have other quotes from other companies saying 4-6k. I get there and the Assistant Manager of service Eric charged me 380 dollars to get my car out of there. 380 dollars, to do nothing. I BROUGHT MY CAR THERE AND TOLD THEM THE ENGINE WAS NO GOOD. Now I paid 380 dollars to get my key back because of diagnostics?! The customer service was graded an F. Never have I ever had a worse experience with any company in any industry. I wouldn't wish this dealership on my worst enemy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE.

I recently moved to Torrington and realized I needed the front license plate bracket attached to the front bumper. Without an appointment, swung into the service department and they did it for me immediately, not only did they not charge me for doing it but wouldn't even accept a tip. That was kind and friendly service. I'll be back for sure. Thanks guys.

Yesterday was my first visit with my 'new to me' Hyundai Sonata. Just a basic oil change & inspection. Prompt, courteous service. After inspection, a issue was found & explained to me. I'm on the schedule in 10 days. So far, so good.

If you need to get your car serviced go to the Hyundai in Enfield instead. The service people were rude to me and they lied to me.I was sold a car that didn’t have parts installed correctly. This caused my key fob not work, my car doors would not unlock correctly, my auto lights never turning off, and my car thought I had my key in the ignition 100 percent of the time even when I took the key out. This caused the car to constantly pull a charge which effected my cars battery and alternator. When I was sold the car, the fob didn’t work and it had some electrical issues. We chalked it up to the fob not working correctly. They just told me the fob needed to be programmed. I made an appointment to fix it and they couldn’t program it. So I had to make another appointment because they wanted it all day. I went 3 times and they couldn’t figure out what was going on. What was their solution? Lying to me. They told me my car didn’t take a fob and that the fob was messing up my car. To top it off through out the whole process they made it sound like it was my fault. I had to argue with them and tell them the car came like this.So they took away my key fob and we begrudgingly accepted the answers they gave us, but the electrical issues continued. We were fed up with the Torrington Hyundai so we took it to the Lia Hyundai in Enfield. They found out what the issue was very quickly. Torrington Hyundai couldn’t figure out the issue in 3 separate trips. The Enfield Hyundai was honest with me and straight up said that the Torrington Hyundai lied to me and my car does take fob. They found out my car had some parts not installed correctly causing all of my electrical issues.I will say the service manager in Torrington reimbursed me and sent me the key fob they took away from me. I appreciate that. I don’t appreciate how they treated me or their service.Go to the Lia Hyundai in Enfield. Avoid the Torrington Hyundai.

DREAM CAR DEALERSHIPThis past summer, I was looking for a car, unsure of what brand I wanted, as I am not too into cars. However, I had a strict budget to stick with being a college student during a time when car prices were at an all-time high. At the beginning of the summer, I checked out this dealership and met Mike, who was encouraging and friendly, walking me around the whole lot while going out of his way to let me test-drive multiple cars close to my price range. Although I didn't purchase a vehicle that day, Mike stayed in contact. He reached out two months later, telling me that a used car was dropped off that morning and was exactly what I had been looking for, and it was mine if I wanted to come down and check it out.So, of course, I went to check out the car; Mike was right; it was the perfect car for me. That day I bought the car and was able to complete all the paperwork AND register a new plate within two days. This is truly a dream car dealership; I would buy multiple cars from them if I could. No BS or hidden fees, and treats customers fairly regardless of age, gender, or knowledge of automobiles. I would not have a car today without Mike and Hyundai Torrington's dedication to their customers.

The Staff performed to the expected standards when one is looking to buy a new or used (newer) vehicle. The manager and salesman left no stone unturned in the effort to find me another vehicle. It was a nice experience overall.

We’ve owned 4 Hyundai vehicles, the last 3 brand new. Have a 2020 Santa Fe leased from Torrington, CT Hyundai. In the last 3 weeks, thieves have stolen the Santa Fe twice. Last Wednesday they smashed the window of our 2021 Palisade, broke the steering wheel/ignition area. The Palisade they failed to steal but not before causing hundreds if not thousands of dollars as well in damages. The Santa Fe was broken into a 3rd time today as they attempted to steal it but may have been spooked as they tried to steal it while my fiancé was inside Walmart. Hyundai dealer told me to bring back the Santa Fe as they were going to buy me out of it. I advised Garret at the dealer that I do not want to buy another vehicle and he replied that he understood as this a common issue they were dealing. I now live an hour away… Drove the Santa Fe to the dealer to meet Garrett only to have him tell me they couldn’t do anything because the vehicle is now labeled as theft recovery. Seriously? I told him over the phone it keeps getting broken into and stolen but still had me drive an hour out of my way to the dealer to just turn me away? I cannot believe that there is no help for us regular-hard working people that have been loyal customers of Hyundai. So upset. The Palisade we financed and are stuck with it. Unfortunately that too will probably keep getting broken into. Torrington Hyundai offered no solution. NEVER going back. STAY AWAY from HYUNDAI. They will not work with you, don’t offer any solution. What a shame.
