Bugs in the whole watermelon. I bought a whole watermelon today. As I was cutting it I noticed a tiny bug, then a bigger beetle. the whole thing went in the trash!

This use to be my favorite store in town. All my life I been shopping with this company. Well today I accidentally left my change with my receipt at the self checkout. Long story but a gentleman was crowding me trying to begin his checkout so In a rush I bagged and left. Stupid me I know we'll long story short I call and the lady at the front desk goes oh that's to bad and that's it. Wow way to help me out great customer service. Why not enforce covid distancing and open more lanes so people don't rush others into feeling pressured to leave.

This is the Stop & Shop that those of us who live near Litchfield hoped would open in our community last year. This one is a much larger store with many more choices, a pharmacy, and prices that seem pretty consistently lower than those in Litchfield. Maybe that shouldn't come as a surprise, given overall costs in Litchfield. But this store is just as clean, has employees who are about as friendly, and -- did I mention? -- prices that are mostly lower than those at the Litchfield store. And lower on a variety of products, from fruits to packaged goods. There do seem to be occasional issues like a shortage of cashiers. But we think now it's worth it to make a short trip to this store rather than the one closer to us; the savings are well worth it.

Very clean, great selection in fruit and vegetables. Easy to manuver around, just need more cashiers

The staff at the desk sucks at helping you with the money transfer. They don't if you use the service or not.
