We are part time residents in Torrington. I really love this store. The Produce department as well as the Meat and Fish departments are nicer than any local food store. The Starbucks inside is as good as a stand alone store. All departments are helpful and well stocked.

I come here for quick lunches because the prepared foods look much better than anything you can get across the street at Stop & Shop. However, today's Philadelphia roll contained *smoked* salmon, without being labeled as such. Not cool. They also charge more than a dollar for a small cup of salad dressing that isn't even enough for half a salad. I object to paying to dress a to-go salad, in principle. They also hide the forks behind the counter, forcing you to ask for one--if there's even anyone there. Déclassé vibe, even for Torrington.

It was more expensive than other grocery stores, I believe. The employees I talked to were nice. The produce area was very clean. I liked the selection at the bakery, the cashier was helpful. Not bad.

I do NOT recommend their Starbucks. Every time I go there, a piece of equipment is broken. Who runs this Starbucks? Why is there always a problem? Can I donate a blender? Why, why, why? A few weeks ago it was the espresso machine. Then their scanner for the APP was down before that.

We've been very disappointed in the food court selection at supper time. Maybe lunch is their main focus, but One would think this would be a peak hour for people getting out of work for grab and go or hot items. It was 5:15, the register was closed and help was nowhere to be found. There was hardly any hot foods available and just a few slices of pizza and it all looked dried out and not fresh. Several customers walked away. I was finally able to grab someone for service, but should have passed. The quality was not good.

I usually like Market 32 and consider it the best in Torrington.

I have tried to love this place several times but at this point have had more bad experiences here than good. The staff is always very disgruntled especially in the self checkout area. When I asked for help I was given a snide remark and the woman proceeded to help someone else who addressed here after I did. Sale items are very misleading by their marked price vs what actually scans when you are at checkout. Gave the place several tries but at this point I'll go back to my usual grocery store right down the road from here. A previous trip (weekend before thanksgiving) the checkout lady was so rude and unfriendly, I didn't have my store card with me that day and offered my phone # and she rudely belted out that she needs my drivers license # as if I know this crap! Even her bagger girl working said she's always rude. Can't stand the rude staff! Probably won't go back too often.

I remember coming here when it was just price chopper and tammy was the food service manager so I'm going back a few years. Back then the place was pretty good, but then tammy left and got a new manager in the food department and the place was a terrible place to go. I felt so bad for those employees that worked hard but got stuck with the lady that replaced tammy, she was always rude to her employees,, always outside smoking her cigarettes, always on her phone, and you never saw her without a doughnut in her mouth. I always wanted to say something to her but never did. Now the place is as good if not better now that its market 32.

Went to order several lobsters from the seafood department. Rusty too my order and was furious. He had an mood and poor customer service. He told me I would have to wait over an hour to get it steamed. They lost a customer. I use to shop here daily but will be going elsewhere. Why go and spend money being treated with disrespect?! DONT ORDER FROM RUSTY IN SEAFOOD

We still like 32 and would shop here more often if it were a bit closer. Over the last three years we've found prices here to be in general lower than the Stop and Shop near us in Litchfield. The stock is much larger, so you'll find more items here especially more gluten-free products. It's right next to a Wal-Mart, so the parking lots can stay filled up much of the day, an occasional aggravation. Overall, though, friendly staff and a well-stocked store make our trips here quite satisfactory.
