There is 0 customer service happening at this location. The ONLY thing that this location has going for it is that it's larger than the one on Hartford Turnpike so it's got broader stock/inventory; however the amount of 'opportunities for improvement' the entire staff dedicated to that location has is unbelievable.
Hire people with some empathy and kindness, if your staff is dead inside, your customers can always just get the same things elsewhere.

Horrible customer service. I needed help to get some stuff from the top shelf so I went to one of the employee and she said they are not selling those stuffs. I mean really!!!!!! It was my first time at this store and I am damn sure never going back here. Horrible experience ??

i always come here when I need something, I will admit it's clean and has most of your necessary things but the employees??? geez, me and my friends came here after school, I was checking out, and the employee was just eyeing down me and my friends with a terrible expression. we came in quietly, we weren't even loud, at least i dont think so, and no, we didn't steal so I'm not sure what her problem was.

Went to do a return with receipt and items purchased days prior and was told that are not able to do returns there. How is that possible? Beware you will get stuck with defective items.

So i’m going to get a pillow and a pick a cheap one that’s priced at three dollars and I got up to the register and it rang up is 9.50.I asked a young lady where the three dollar pillows are and she says they dont carry them anymore .The sign is still out there ???So I go back to the register to ring my stuff up but the register is now locked up so I called a lady putting stock away and she comes over and puts a bunch of numbers in and unlocks it and then as shes walking away she looks at me with an attitude and says that’s because you ran the pillow through the register.Oh, I get it so you pull a bait and switch on pillow prices in here and I walk away in your self checkout locks up and you get an attitude ?I get it that the company doesn’t want to pay people to ring because they don’t leave anybody upfront and people are constantly getting stuck trying to ring things out or cash out..But at least have somebody nearby who is willing to help people and not get an attitude.Finally , I go to another register, and then the guy behind he walks up and he’s looking at the register with the pillow in it, so i say it should be working and he says oh it says somebody rang a pillow up.Yeah, this lady do a good job she reset the machine but she didn’t take the transaction out that caused the machine to lock up so now she’s gonna have to go back. And that was because she was so disturbed about having to help me.I will avoid the store. I don’t need the attitudes.

Employees standing at the registers talking about another employee. One other customer in the store at self check. When I approached the register, I was told she would not ring me up. I was told I needed to use the self check. While somebody was standing at the register. I heard them talking to that other customer about how they changed their freight system, so basically, for the last 4 hours, they're just standing around and doing nothing. This seems to be the case as they will not help you in any way, even while standing right in front of a register. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a retail establishment. I've been a retail manager for 35 years. This was shockingly shoddy. Need needless to say, I will never shop there again or any of their stores. The low prices aren't worth the lack of respect they show their customers. It's just appalling.

All I have to say about this particular Dollar General is that it is by far the nicest one that I’ve been to. I was in the area so I decided to stop in for a few things. It was clean, organized, nothing on the floors, no boxes everywhere and you could actually walk around without thinking you may either trip on boxes or have something fall on you. I go to a lot of General Dollars, I have one 5 minutes away from me and another 10 minutes away. I will no longer be going to these stores, only this one. The store manager, Kristen is an absolute delight! Asked how I was doing, talked to me the entire time I was in checkout and wished me a Merry Christmas! This store manager deserves a raise and an award for having the cleanest and neatest store! Outstanding job on her part! I’ll be back!

Best dollar general in town. It may be smaller than the other one but it's always completely stocked and clean, the aisles clear (unlike other one) and the employees are super friendly and always greet you when you walk in and are always willing to help! I drive across town to specifically go to this one everytime

Store closed by Fire Marshall on 10/11/22 for constant safety issue of filling aisles causing blocking. Repeat complaints to staff fall on deaf ears.
