I have been going to Shear Elegance for years but sometimes I wait too long. I'm always pleasantly surprised when Joel works his magic. He always makes me feel relaxed because I know I will always leave happy with the results! I highly recommend this salon

I love this salon! Great vibe, super nice employees and a great haircut! The atmosphere is very relaxing, something that many other salons don't offer. I have curly hair and prefer a Deva cut, which is available here and the reason I chose this salon. Adria is the Deva queen and has helped me be able to manage my frizzy curls at last! The rates are reasonable and service is superb.

Joel from Shear Elegance in Vernon, CT is the best colorist I've ever encountered. When my color was ROYALLY messed up from another colorist, I found him by recommendation. THEN I discover he was a former hair color chemist for Proctor and Gamble before they closed that division! A real expert- not just someone who loves to do color, but someone who is a bona-fide expert in color. SCORE!4 years now- I even fly back from Florida in the winter to have him do my color each month. You won't regret going there, and he will make it right the first time. I am naturally an unusual color of strawberry blonde (red).. As I've aged, my hair color intensity did too. Joel restored it to it's natural color, and maintains it with excellent products as well- he has even researched specific products for my hair. I won't go anywhere else. I'll add a photo later..

I'm new to Vernon. I made an appointment with Joel. I don't know how he did it, but he worked a miracle! I had a cut and a color. The color is beautiful and the haircut, I loved! Somehow, he made my thin, dry hair look full and luscious! I will definitely be going back to see Joel again and I highly recommend him.

I have anxiety about getting my hair cut but Joel put all my fears to rest and listened carefully to what I wanted. He also gave me good suggestions about what to do with my hair. I will definitely be back again in a couple months. :)

Great experience here. The owner who cut my hair is not just talented, but kind and generous as well. I could tell he really cares about his clients. He gave me a beautiful cut while also explaining to me the best ways to care for it based on how much time I wanted to spend on my hair each day. I recommend for anyone.
