Unfortunately I can’t give these guys zero stars. We needed two weeks of cellular service in an area that was a dead zone for our carrier. The person at this AT&T store checked the map and told us that area has 5G, and sold us two prepaid plans. It didn’t work, the place was a dead zone for AT&T also. They told us they couldn’t give us a refund or even a credit towards a mobile hotspot, and failed to tell us that it’s unrefundable. The people at the corporate AT&T up the road said they should never have sold us a prepaid phone because those plans are deprioritized and don’t work well anyway. They just wanted to make a buck, they didn’t care about helping us find a solution that would work. Very shady— stay away from this authorized retailer.

What a fiasco! We highly DON’T reccomended this place. Go to the actual AT&T store further up Colony Road.First of all, you should know this location is not truly an AT&T store— it’s an authorized retailer. The people here are rude, incompetent and happy to take your money without really considering your needs. They work off of straight commission.Without going into all the details of our situation — basically they sold us prepaid coverage for a situation in which that prepaid coverage wouldn’t have ever worked — a dead zone area that they should have known would need a different solution. Our phones get ZERO service in the area we’re in with the prepaid. They didn’t tell us that with prepaid service we’re completely de-prioritized in terms of cell reception and that given that cell service is already very tricky in the area we’re in, basically we would be wasting our money.When we went to the corporate (actual AT&T) store further up Colony Road to try to sort this out, the very kind helpful people there said that this store should never had sold us prepaid in the first place and that it was basically unbelievable that they did.We went back to this store and talked to them quite calmly and reasonably about it all to see if we could find a better solution for service, and they were incredibly rude. Like, unbelievably rude.Terrible experience!Stay away!

Devin in the Wallingford store took such good care of us. He was basically all alone in the store and our situation was fairly complicated. Even while working with us, he still greeted every person who walked into the store and asked what they were there for , and multi tasked perfectly. He was under tremendous pressure but you would never be able to tell. He even followed up with us after hours to see if the problem we were having had resolved itself. I've never received customer service like that .The store manager Jeff is also great. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and did all he could to save us money. We are a military family , and are very grateful for the military discount and ATT's support of our military*** regarding one of the negative reviews below, funny they forgot to mention their bad behavior and foul mouth in their review.

This store should be shut down after the way I was treated all because the associate tried to close the store early I came 40 mins before closing to locked doors even though I called to let them know I was coming 20 mins prior then after knocking he opened the door an was clearly rushing I told him what phone I wanted to purchase he ran in back came back and said how much it was and I needed to start a plan I explained how I wanted to pay the full price as it is advertised all over the store that I can do so and he refused and said I couldn't do that I had to start a new plan mind you he never not once asked for my id to pull up my info because he was so much in a rush I then explained what customer service told me to come here to do only for him to say oh well they didn't tell me he was completely dismissive and rude clearly needed to be somewhere else and didn't have no plans to help anyone at this point I asked for a manager and for him to contact customer service which he refused to do so and he became even more rude and made threats to kick me out so I inconvenienced him an took a nice seat to discuss the issue with customer service to get real help only for him to call the cops thinking that woupd make me leave so he can continue to close early so once the cops arrived cop was really nice didn't make me leave I told him I would stay in the store until it was the true time to close which I did and the cop gave recommendation for better stores and apologized for the associates behavior this store is disgraceful never again

Devin from the Wallingford location was fantastic! Super helpful,friendly and patient. He made the transition from our previous carrier smooth and painless. Explaining everything along the way. It is hard to find that level of customer service today. Your company has a great asset!

I had a new iPhone 14 with a different number and Jeff was a great help moving my phone number to the new phone pairing my watch to new phone and moving a phone number to old phone. Took less than 20 minutes no waiting. Excellent service. Thanks Jeff

Jeff was dope, helped with EVERYTHING I needed and in a timely fashion as well. I remember working with him in the Cheshire plaza location as well, which is also a great store. He must’ve learned well from the great staff there !!! Will def be back to work with Jeff and that other dude.

Outside of having 2 staff working to upgrade my account and deal with trade in for devices, it wasn't a bad experience. One of the guys was very knowledgeable, while the other.. not so much.

My elderly parents received in the mail a new basic cell phone to replace their old 3G flip phone. They sent it automatically and my parents weren't sure what to do with it. I'm located out of state so when I came to visit I tried to activate it for them on line. It was activated after 30 days automatically apparently if you don't activate yourself. The problem was that the new phone was assigned a new number and was a pre-pay. When I called Customer Care (the prepay line) they asked for the PIN for security reasons of course. My parents had no idea that they even had a pin..lol. They told me to go to the retail store for assistance etc. Long story short, there were numerous issues with this new phone from AT & T that they sent. It was set-up wrong when they mailed it to my parents (without their approval I might add). At any rate, no fault of the Wallingford store, Allisa was a STAR! I walked through the door at 7:40pm and explained my problems. She listened closely and immediately got on the phone with Customer Care and solved one problem that required a transfer of credit. Then she was turned over to a Tech Supervisor since they had a problem with the new phone receiving phone calls and texts. After a full hour they were finally able to correct the issue for which Allisa was working closely with the tech support supervisor to troubleshoot the issues. Allisa is a super STAR! She was patient, knowledgeable, kind and had a winning attitude! She knew that I was from out of town helping my parents and that I was pressed to have it corrected before I left town the next morning. Wish there were more Allisa's in the world! Thank you, Thank you, Thank You!!!
