Blue Trail Range is an outdoor and indoor shooting facility, open year-round. It is described as the best outdoor range in Connecticut, with great facilities including a nice new pavilion. The range is huge, offering a pistol range, a rifle range for longer distances, and a separate shotgun field for clay skeet shooting across the street. They also have a public indoor range for inclement weather. Shooters can bring their own firearms or rent from the on-site gun shop. The range offers a combo pass for an all-day stay at a reasonable price. Cease-fires occur every 30 minutes on the pistol and rifle ranges to change targets. The range marshalls are respectful and maintain a safe environment. Private lessons are available and staff are noted as very nice, helpful, informative, and great for first-timers. There is also a range cafe. A minor noted issue is that it can be hard to hear the ceasefire announcements on the outdoor range. Overall, it provides excellent service and is a recommended place for target practice.
Staff are always professional and helpful. I took my permit class here andpurchased my first firearm, didn't know what to get and the staff were more than willing to give me some pointers. Every time I visit I'm treated like family!

I stop here daily. There may be a great gun deal here. Indoor and outdoor ranges. A shotgun field. They do gun transfers and great atshipping and receiving guns from out of state

Did a rifle transfer here went very quick as they use computer based forms rather than paper forms
