I did the basic course for pistol permit there and I came back for a shooting practice after getting my ccw, maybe I was expecting too much. it may be a better experience next time.

Best outdoor range I’ve been to in Connecticut. Facilities are great - the new pavilion is very nice. Unlike other outdoor public ranges - range Marshalls at Blue Trail are respectful of patrons while maintaining a safe environment for all in attendance.

I wish this range was closer to home. I used their outdoor range, and the only issue was that it was hard to hear the office ranger calling the ceasefire using a megaphone. They have to fix their mic systems, but overall, they have excellent service and reasonable price for the range pass. I would come back anytime.

I haven't been here just yet, but from reading the reviews it sounds like a great place to get in some target practice! I just was wondering if this range allows for pcp rifles? These are pre-charged pneumatic pellet air rifles! I have a .30 caliber Ed Gun Leshiy2 that I would like to use for target practice. If anyone can answer this question, that would be great!

I’ve done a couple of private lessons with Amr and have spoke with other staff to help decide what to shoot in my lessons. Everyone has been very nice, helpful and informative. Amr makes my lessons fun, educational and comfortable which is what i was looking for as a female first timer at the range! Definitely recommend this range indoor/outdoor and great staff to help you out!

I was asked pistol or rifle, I said rifle but asked if I could shoot my pistol at the rifle range too and was told no. Got talked to by a range officer for shooting straight in my lane at the berm with no target even though I specifically asked the guy setting me up with my lane, and he said it's okay. Felt like I was being watched by feds, worst $40 I ever spent.

You can't shoot a rifle standing, and no rapid fire allowed. I understand having it like that for some of the range, but especially with a range this big, there should at lease be some standing rifle lanes.

Not a bad range at all , range huge all day stay with a combo pass that ran for like 50$ , and be in the middle of the range of the pistol range with 25+ others shooting felt a little cramped but ones it gets later in the day it’s less people , now you go over to the rifle range it’s really nice . Cease-fires happen every 30 minutes to swap out target and dress them for both pistol and rifle range . Shotgun can be fired with slugs at the rifle range but they have their own area to go clay skeet shooting across the street which doesn’t have a cease fire so no going down range.

My husband took me shooting for mother's day today. It was our first time there. We spent about 4/5 hours there and had so much fun. It was all clean, everyone was super nice, and not standing right over your shoulder. They let you do your own thing if you follow the rules and what they say. We will define back. It was well worth the hour drive and the cost for all day.

Very cheap for the pistol class, but well worth it with the people they had teaching and the info they gave out. Having a lawyer show up was definitely nice. As for the range, you have an indoor for pistols, a small burm for pistols and shotguns, long range area and an area for clay shooting. I'm sure there's more but I didn't personally see anything more. Good people too.

Staff was easy to work with on a busy Saturday morning. Everything was straight forward and we had no issues renting a day pass for our first time there. Would recommend if your in the area.
