I went to this location 2 weeks ago today.
I opened a new account which I should have know by how it went I should have left. The woman had no idea what she was doing it was pretty sad and the tellers that were there the attitudes were terrible! The final straw was when I called today to see why my debit card hadn’t come in yet- they never ordered one!! Now I have to wait another 5-7 business days for a card. This is just insanity.
I may pull my account but I don’t want the hassle of opening at another bank right now.

I tried to use the ATM on Sunday and the machine ate my card. ATM did not say temporary out of order. It happened to another person while at ATM. I called the branch to find out about my card, no call. I stopped in and got yelled at by someone behind the counter that a 3rd party collects and destroys them and they dont handle their ATM machines. Then she screamed go back to your own bank to get a new card. Then spoke to the CSR and he confirmed thats the process. Zero empathy and not a good look at all from the bank. Oh, and I have a joint account with my daughter at this bank. We are going to close the account.

I called this branch yesterday to see about coming down to payoff a loan. Lady on the phone (who I presume to be the manager) was very kind and helpful told me after checking with the people that would be working I could just come down today and it wouldn’t be an issue and I wouldn’t need an appointment only to be told by one teller when I got there today even though they know I called and spoke to someone yesterday, they would not help me without an appointment. Every time I have to do anything with this bank it turns into an ordeal. id rather have to go to the dmv for a day I understand why they only have 3 stars

I have been attempting to get in touch with the area CT territory supervisor for almost 3 weeks now being given the run around by the branch manger and her direct supervisor.

Would not recommend this branch. A disrespectful person answered thus am 8/15/24 @9:20am, very ignorant. I will tell anyone working with me to not use the Wallingford branch at all. Then every time I called she had my calls forward. Customer service is nothing like a décade ago. These young children dont know how to be adults. Fire her.

Please beware of this bank! I own a small business and bank with KeyBank. Early into banking here, the bank approved a fraudulent transfer of nearly $100,000 out of our bank account. We received no alerts, even though this was far outside of our normal transaction amount (we dont have transactions beyond $2K) that this happened and when we discovered the charge KeyBank took no responsibility. They didn't assist us in the effort to recover funds, we were able to recover about half with our own hired private investigation.
Shortly after this happened we "froze" our accounts and even with this KeyBank allowed several transactions to go through. We closed out our accounts and got in writing that they were closed and still KeyBank allowed transactions to come through.
Please beware and do not put your money here! It is not safe!

I recently refinanced my home with the help of mortgage loan officer Toni Habetz it was a pleasant experience from start to finish and Toni made herself available to me whenever I had any questions. I recommend Toni highly. I also had to use the mortgage servicing customer support contact center and Nicole, the representative that helped me was fantastic. She identified and solved my issue within 24 hours and was prompt with the call back. Kudos to both of these Key bank employees.

Outstanding customer service while setting up merchant services for a small business. The team walked me through the process, answered all of my questions and followed up. Shout out to Jessica, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient. I would highly recommend to any small business.

Not about verifying ID; it is about the scanner of Connecticut ID or License only. Key no cash check with current USA Passport and Gov ID even when check verified good by maker. Killer of Commerce here. Peacefully tried to cash check on day two before filing papers; arrested. Personal accounts probably good but Key is an Interstate Commerce Killer. Bad service smells; haughty. Go back to Cleveland Ohio please‽ May God help us.

The banker I dealt with was very rude. She was not wearing a name tag and I forgot to ask for her name before I left; however, she did have a prominent English accent. I usually go to the Plainville branch but I was in the area and needed to deposit a large amount of money. She was almost reluctant to accept my cash and began asking very invasive questions such as how long I have been banking with Key Bank as well as my occupation- both of which I answered. She then took my license, looked me up and claimed that my name was mot found in the system and proceeded to ask me for my social security number to which I kindly declined to give. I urged her to please check the system again as I frequently deposit cash at Key Bank to which she was able to find me. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to cancel my debit card with the bank citing that I only use my card about twice a month which I found very odd. After so, she as very off-putting but despite this I was still being very kind. At the end of the transaction, I told her to have a great day and proceeded to thank her to which she walked away without replying. I get that we all may have bad days, but there’s a time and a place- and being unkind to a paying customer left a genuinely bad taste in my mouth about Key Bank. I will consider withdrawing all of my hard-earned cash and banking elsewhere. What a horrible representation of the business. Unbelievable.
