“The KLA of Wallingford has been a wonderful school. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a place that is child-centered. They really take each kid from where they are at and guide them as they grow and discover the world around them. They see what the class is interested in and tailor the learning activities to those interests. My child is excited to go to school each day and loves to share what they learned. The school app that we as parents have access to is used to provide daily updates as to what the students are doing throughout their learning day as well as multiple pictures of the kids learning through play and hands on activities. They also spend a lot of time exploring and playing outside in one of the schools outdoor areas. I am grateful my child has had the opportunity to learn and grow in this fun, loving, safe, and supportive environment. I look forward to seeing how my child develops in this next school year.”

“Our family absolutely loves building blocks – they have been so good to us and our little one who has been here for almost 2 years now. The teachers are truly exceptional; it's amazing what activities they come up with and the care they give to our little one. Special shout out to Infant 1 and Twos B classrooms for their amazing teachers. Our little one LOVES going here and comes home having learned so much each day. The team is so great about snacks, keeping everyone healthy, and making sure outdoor time happen each day. Finally, the teachers have been so good about letting us know what they're teaching Grace and we likewise have shared her preferences and new developments, which they've always handled well. We couldn't be happier with Building Blocks!”

“My son has been attending Building Blocks since he was three months old, and he is now almost two years old. I was initially nervous about sending him to daycare, but I can say confidently that this was the best decision as we have seen him absolutely thrive here. All of his teachers, without exception, have been so kind and attentive. They actively engage with the children and do all sorts of fun and educational activities. The facility itself is very clean and nice with a large fenced-in playground area outside. We also appreciate the good communication from the school. And of course, my son loves Building Blocks and is always excited to see his friends and teachers when we drop him off in the morning!”

“After two failed placements at other daycares, my daughter started attending Wee Care in October and it was a breath of fresh air. She is so happy when we drop her off and all of the staff members are welcoming and helpful. The director and assistant director are the best ! We are so happy that we found Wee Care and can’t imagine being anywhere else.”

“We sent our son to this Kindercare for nearly four months, from when he was 6 months to almost 11 months. We had to withdraw him because of a move, but we do not have enough good things to say about the center staff and the center director. They were communicative and transparent with our son's needs and went to great lengths to ensure that he was thriving. We loved getting to see him interact with the other children. The environment that this Kindercare fosters has really helped him grow. We are saddened that we have to leave, especially when it is clear that his teachers care so much for him. We will miss this center, but we are glad for the time spent there.”

“My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Over The Rainbow! We started with our oldest in 2022 and the center has been a wonderful place for both our daughters to grow and learn. They love their teachers and get to experience amazing adventures as well as learning, playing, and having fun with all their friends. The staff is very supportive of all our children’s needs and take such great care of them, truly caring for them and making their days so fun and fulfilling. We look forward to the next stages of growth for our girls and couldn’t be more grateful for the care that Over The Rainbow provides our family!”

“3 of my kids go here and i like that its a smaller facility, my kids and i LOVEEE miss Rae!!!! Shes very friendly and is probably one of the few teachers there who actually care for the kids. I love the curriculum for infants and toddlers

Now my dislikes,

Sometimes nobody greets me when I come into the facility or to the classrooms, which is kind of frustrating coming from someone who I’m trusting to watch my children. I also would like for more photos to be taken of my children throughout the day (This is a personal preference)”

“WCNS is the best preschool program I have had the privilege of sending 2 children to. It's a dream school in the heart of Westville that accepts School Readiness and Care 4 Kids funding, making it more affordable for families. This beloved community institution is a safe, nurturing, and child based learning environment, and I cannot recommend it enough.”

“We love TLCC! Our son is a year old and has been going since he was about 4 1/2 months. They help made the transition so easy, even with him starting so young. I was able to call and check in whenever I needed. We love the teachers, my son is so happy every morning when I drop him off and it make my whole day a little easier. Communication is great and I love that they use an app so I know all about my sons day. I also love the arts and craft projects they do with the kids (even the infants ?) and send home, they are so cute!”

Not only are my children incredibly well cared for, they are truly loved and known by the teachers. The staff creates such a warm, nurturing environment that makes it feel safe to leave your babies each day knowing they’re in the best hands. It really does take a village, and The Carrot Patch is the very best one. We are so grateful to be part of this community.”

“Northford Preschool Academy is truly a hidden gem in the Northford community. From the moment you walk through the doors, it’s clear that this isn’t just a preschool—it’s a nurturing, imaginative, and inspiring learning environment where children are genuinely excited to learn.

The staff, led by Jaime, are passionate educators who deeply understand child development. They go above and beyond to create engaging, play-based curriculum that not only teaches foundational skills but also fosters creativity, independence, and a love for learning.

They also incorporate enriching activities like music, art, and even yoga, which my child absolutely loved.

Communication with parents is excellent. As a mom with kiddos with a lot of medical issues I could feel safe with my babies here. I always felt informed about what my children were learning and how they were progressing. It’s also evident that safety and well-being are a top priority.

Overall, I can’t recommend Northford Preschool Academy enough. If you’re looking for a preschool that combines creativity, structure, and compassion, this is the place.”

“The Smart Start is a hidden gem. I trust this facility with my children’s lives. We have attended for almost 3 years now with 3 children. One of my children has medical needs and they are always on top of everything. The staff is wonderful and caring. My children genuinely have fun here! I get so many updates about their day and wonderful photos. Smaller class sizes are perfect and allow for more individual attention in the younger classes.”

“I highly recommend Bunny Village for your child care needs. We have used both of their centers in Bethany and Cheshire. Our two most precious children started under BV’s care at a young age and have grown and developed into wonderful young people. We love the daily photos and updates that let us see what our kids are doing and the new activities they are enjoying. Communicating with the managers and staff is easy through the app, and response times are always quick. We are very happy with our experience. We have much appreciation for Christina and all the staff who have been so helpful.”

“I would describe myself as an "anxious parent." When looking for a preschool for my son I visited bunch of different schools in the area! Bethesda was the last one I went too. As soon as I walked in I was hooked. I have to give a lot of the credit to the director Sara. She is very warm and understanding, she listened to all my concerns and made me very very comfortable. The classroom feels like home! The best part is they have an in door climber room with a slide that is my sons favorite!I was most attracted to the shorter schedule as most nursery schools in the area do not offer anymore. 8:15 Am -1:00pm as well as later hours. It was very important to me to find a school that did not a have a big turn around with teachers. Bethesda teachers have all been there longer the 5 years, some more then 15 years!Good communication is very important to me, if my son has a hard morning and I want to call just to check in I know that I can and they get back to be quickly and often with a photo of him elbows deep in some sort of project.Bethesda becomes a second home for your child. My son talks about his teachers at home all the time. He wants to go to school in the morning. I feel so happy knowing I found the perfect place for my son to spend his first years of school!”

“Where can I start....We switched our kids over to Bright & Early a year or so ago, never looked back. We love this early childhood center. Everyone is amazing. The director Kaitlyn and assistant director Jenn are truly special people. They go above and beyond for the families that are enrolled at the center. If every an issue arises, Miss Kaitlyn and Miss Jenn handle with wonderful professionalism and care. They are truly wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about them! The team they have at Bright & early are just as wonderful. Dropping your child off with anyone is hard and weighs heaving on a parent's heart, but this team ensures your worries are at ease. Just a wonderful place!!!”
