Absolutely love this location. The Henry David Thoreau hanging bridge is pretty impressive and the perfect subject for fall foliage photography. The parking area is super close to the bridge, so you don't have to hike miles to see it. The rest of the trails are pretty flat and wide, for the most part, and easy to walk and navigate. The trail markings perfectly align with the maps and are easy to follow from one trail to another. We hiked to the abandoned quartz mine and were blown away by how much quartz was still in the area. Several other footbridges and man made staircases were helpful to see both sides of the river. There were some people along the trails but it was not overcrowded (during the week). I will definitely return to this location to do more hiking, to check out the lookouts and the train tracks.

This awesome hike. Didn’t get up to quartz mine. Like I wanted to. But I seen a lot of sign of it. I be coming back to this one very soon. Met a lot of nice people on the trail.. there spots near the stream to a cook out. I would love to explore this area.

Great quiet place. Good for a mostly flat walk or a medium difficult hike to a good view.

Square Orange and white trail around the river across the two bridges. 1.7 miles mostly flat with some excellent views of the river and falling streams. Farthest bridge has three flights of stairs from the river to trail. The yellow circle trail leading to scenic overlook starts to right of main parking lot - easily missed. Starts at a nice climb. Continuous to ridge line. This preserve is excellent for different types of walks. Dogs on leashes. Parking lot holds 30 cars. Their is a smaller lot that has its own trail head entrance. No bathrooms. No water.

This hike is a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the quiet and peaceful outdoors. There are many different trail options and every trail we traveled was well-maintained. Plus, there are plenty of places to rest along the way.A few highlights:The suspension bridge, just a few yards away from the entrance of the trail. It is a stunning piece of architechture. The quartz mine, took a bit to hike out there, but worth it. It was a beautiful site with quartz pieces all over the ground and a huge chunk of quartz lining the path. The pinnacle, our last stop on this hike. It was mostly an uphill hike from the quartz mine and, once at the top, has stunning views of the surrounding area.I would definitely recommend this hike.Note:There is no bathroom/porta-potty.

It's definitely a very pretty spot, with much to offer in terms of trails, a suspended bridge, river views etc. The map is a little challenging to follow, unless you know already the trail. But the chances of getting "lost" are fortunately slim

Beautiful place with great trails. Highly recommended for trail runners. Download your maps in advance cause service down in the valley is poor.

We visited for a hike with a group of families. Had kids of all ages and they were all able to complete a small loop. We dipped river and had a great time. The parking area is enough for about 15-16 vehicles. There are many other trails also. We couldn't Go to the nearby query. But it's also a an option. The trails are marked and the map can be found at the begging of the trail.

So pretty! Loved just walking the trail while heading the stream of water flow down so peaceful. The bridge is really pretty as well but can get icy now with the weather so be careful. We used AllTrails and we went to the lookout. Just be aware it’s like a small lookout it’s not like bam wow just like oh that’s pretty. The mines were pretty cool! There’s like i think i could be super rock I’m not a rock expert but it looks like there’s still quartz all over the floor. It’s definitely worth trying i am going back to try a different trail area in the same road so I’ll review that one when i get there!! Happy hiking !
