Steep Rock Preserve is a very large and gorgeous park with a number of different hiking trails, including an easy walk or a challenging hike. Trails like the orange trail and the green trail offer great views of the river and mountaintops. Visitors can see a cool stone tunnel, a suspension bridge, holiday house ruins, and interesting rock formations. It is a great day trip spot for the family and a dog friendly area where dogs and kids can swim. The walk is mostly shaded but can be buggy in summer. There is ample designated parking, though the road is narrow. The service is bad nearby, so screenshot directions.

A beautiful hike along the river. About two and a half miles I believe to the tunnel.

Great day trip spot for the family. Spent a lot of time skipping stones in the river this time but usually we make it to the bridge and rock formations so you can make it what you want with plenty of options.
