“The best nursery in town, a huge selection of exotic plants, garden flowers, and all accessories you need. the shop upstairs is beautiful and classy, it's the perfect place to go gift shopping!”
“Helpful staff, beautiful trees and shrubs displayed in a caring environment.
The gift shop seems a bit dated, but ghats likely bc the largest number of shoppers are more, em, mature ))
I bought 2 lovely junipers and a magnolia tree, all happy and doing well.”
“I love Litchfield Hills Nursery all times of the year but my favorite time is when it's cold and dark outside and then walk in the nursery where it's light, warm and colorful from all the great plants. When I went there a few days ago there was a wonderful hum of people who all sounded happy & peaceful which is how I feel when I'm there. There were also some delightful scents in the air & I had the delightful scent in my nose all the way home.”
“You know, you tend to forget that Agway is more than just a feed store. I needed some things for the yard and I figured Agway might have everything in one stop, I was right and they did. Staff was more than helpful as well.”
“This is a very nice greenhouse with a good selection. Some things are a little more pricey than other stores in the area, but the quality is enough to justify it.”
“we had a number of projects for Meadowbrook, including the creation of a new rock garden and new organic garden beds. The crew was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, creative, and a pure pleasure to work with as they confirmed the changes every step of the way with us. I highly recommend this firm for any of your outdoor landscaping and planting needs as they have an amazing selection of flowers, trees, and shrubs and their pricing is very competitive for the quality of their work.”
“I love 25 miles away. My store doesn't stock R13 Owens Corning.. This store carries the Owen's corning insulation R13 in stock.. and I wanted it today. Store is nice (clean), friendly staff and got in and out fairly quick.”
“This is the best nurse I have ever visited. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and the choices for plants are broad and unique. This is not your typical nursery.
I highly recommend visiting and taking your time walking the property as well.”
“This is a small friendly family-owned store, the staff is very knowledgeable, mechanically skilled, and professional and carry almost everything you need. They can handle your basic fixes to the most difficult jobs that no one has been able to figure out , or due to covid 19 lockdowns have run out of parts, still with these shortages was still able to fix my truck, when on the other hand two other fully staffed businesses were totally stumped and said they need fancy equipment to figure out the problem and the fancy equipment was no longer available the gentleman was able to fix within a half hour without a fancy computer device. I wish I had taken it to Woodvury farm and feed much sooner as it would have saved me nearly two thousand dollars. The older gentleman is a Navy veteran of over two decades and hardly takes a day off, works grueling hours, and says good help is hard to find between ringing phones and filling feed orders making him sometimes SEEM like a bit of a salty dog at times, but he's actually a very sweet man who's taken care of his disabled son through all of his life putting him first. Woodbury and the surrounding areas are fortunate to have the skill and knowledge this father and son team offers. There is an old indian saying don't judge another man unless you've walked in his shoes a mile.”
“I ordered amaryllis bulbs that arrived in in a timely manner and in great condition.Very healthy and the bulbs are huge with multiple bloom stalks.I highly recommend!”
“Update:: Changed 1 star to 4 because I spoke with store management and they were deeply apologitic. I felt like they were on top of the issue which made me feel much better about my future with Home Depot New Milford. I really love walking through those isles. When an employee feels free and comfortable to say "I don't like you, sir" you know there's something wrong with the way the company hires. I shop at home depot 1 - 3 times a week. I've had mostly good experiences and one or two bad experiences with employees. As we know it only take one bad experience to taint an otherwise good relationship. Today, I had a technical question about a dado blade for my table saw and was looking for a hardware specialist. I asked the older man with the thick accent that mostly works the key kiosk if there was a hardware specialist around. He asked if he could help me. I had a feeling my question was beyond his knowledge base but gave it a try any way. "I have a question about saws." "What kind of saws?" Home Depot employee asked. "Table saws" I said. The employee just stared at me. "Table saws" I said again, and the blank stare continued. I said once more and it appeared to click. "Ok sir what's your question." The employee asked. "This is an 8 inch Dado blade and I have 10 inch saw, is this the ideal blade for my saw?" "Yes it's what we have in stock." The employee answered. That's not what I asked, so I rephrased. "Is this this best size for my saw, or do they make a 10 inch blade?" "It's what we have in stock so yes.." The employee answered. "Annoyed that the employee was clearly misunderstanding, I said Ok thank you and walked away, at which point the employee in a stage wisper said, "I don't like you, sir..." At which point I turn around and said "Excuse me?!" "I just don't want to give you the wrong information sir" He said, pretending like he didn't just express a very personal private negative feeling about a customer loyal to the store... I'm loyal to Home Depot but experiences like today make me think twice about my loyalty. I'm very disappointed in this example, of type of person Home Depot chose to hire. As an employee I have been tested to the limit and would NEVER think of uttering such sentiment to a good, consistent and nice customer.”

“Not a bad store, but small. Better selection in Danbury and at Tractor Supply. Prices are not bad but some products seem very overpriced compared to similar stores.”
