This place is very racist, judgemental and staff from manager to staff are on a take the law into they own hands from physical fighting with people who get caught stealing to chasing people out the store to the street with out having a clue how the law works they must not have any training at all dollar general going to slowly lose they company thanks to people like the staff here at this store, I seen the other day 3 male staff beating up a young man for stealing a towel ,SAD and very coward of them , I heard the young man wife to go after dollar general and call a lawyer because they ran out side of the store leaving the store alone and chase this guy to the street and beat him up like they were gangster and the manager sat there and laughing like a big dummy knowing his job is on the line sad but this is how this store handle shop lifters and noone knows how to call law enforcement and let them handle that not take the law in they own hands knowing that dollar general will pay the ultimate price if this goes viral and to court 2 people had recorded the event and now the guys lawyer is seeking to take them to court .

They are never open on time NEVER its 8:41am they are supposed to open at 8am I waited thinking that in the wait they would be open stay away from Dollar General East Main Street Columbus Ohio

Place is a dump first of all!Second, the fact that 3 employees (only 1 was working, the other was on her cell phone and the 3rd had her child with her) can't even figure out how to void an item blows my mind. And the girl they were calling from the back room, multiple times, answer at first and then finally yelled out from a back room. Two minutes later, she staggers out with her daughter both of them looking absolutely disheveled, like they just woke up. The employee that was working had to avoid an item because it rang up wrong so she had to call the woman back because the other woman working with her was too busy on her phone but also had no idea what she was doing. Not only was I in line, but there was a woman in front of me. We both were patiently waiting, and the woman in front of me had to ask for somebody else to open the register. The woman working on the register, trying to buy the transaction at the other woman not working who is on her cell phone if she was on registers today she side and said yeah I guess I could take you guys first of all if we're paying minimum wage to people like this who have zero work ethic and are so lazy they shouldn't be hired at any store any place and I need to pick classes on how to work and what is the meaning of working hard for your money this place is atrocious and everybody there needs to be fired. And while we were finally helped on the second register, the girl continue to talk on her cell phone with her earpiece in and moved as slow as could be.

This place has gotten substantially better. Staff is helpful and friendly. It has also stepped up in cleaning the store. Still a bit cluttered, but it is way better than a few months ago. Went on a Sunday, and even though there was a good number of customers, the checkout was very quick because they added people as soon as they were able.

Always waiting forever for an employee to appear. Anyone can easily steal and no one would know. Waited 5 minutes in an empty line with no one helping the customers, so I left a basket full of stuff and left. Going to the other dollar general and saving myself from the headache I always get when I go to this location. It is always a mess and smells bad in here. Where are the employees???
