“Sportsman Outpost in Wolcott is an awesome place for anyone who enjoys hunting and shooting. They always seem to have a great selection of quality hunting ammunition in stock, which is a huge plus when you’re trying to find exactly what you need.
They also have a really nice selection of both new and used firearms, with plenty of different options depending on what you’re looking for. The staff and owner are extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They take the time to actually listen to what you’re looking for and help guide you toward a purchase that makes sense for you, rather than making you feel pressured.
One of the biggest things that stands out is how knowledgeable they are about hunting and hunting equipment. If you have questions, they’re more than willing to share their experience and help you understand your options. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and want their customers to have a good experience.
I highly recommend Sportsman Outpost to anyone looking for hunting ammunition, firearms, or just knowledgeable people who are willing to help. Great selection, great people, and a great local shop. 10/10!”

“I was looking for a new gun at The Gun Shop in Waterbury, they told me to go here to try out the guns I’d thought I’d like. I’m always nervous going to a new range but these guys were welcoming! They recommend another firearm to try and it was the one! Right after the time I spent there I immediately went and got the gun they recommended me to try! Thanks guys, I’ll be shooting here from now on!”
