I made reservations to rent a car. The day to pick up said car, I went in for them to tell me they did not have the car I requested but I can rent something bigger for a significant up charge. I did not receive any notification of this prior to showing up to pick up the car. I’m am so disgusted with the service here.

I am a SM for Safelite, I was in a pinch one day with needing to get a client into a rental asap. After calling multiple rental places, I came to Hertz & Chris Whittaker went ABOVE & BEYOND to help me that day. Chris is extremely professional & was very knowledgeable. He was able to get my client into a rental right then & there. I haven't had such a great customer experience like Chris provided in a long time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!! 10/10 .. I’m very disappointed as my valid French driving license has not been accepted in this agency. The manager recognized it was valid but as he’s not seen it before, he couldn’t accept to rent the car I had reserved. I better understand all the bad reviews I see now… I even had to cancel the reservation myself by calling the customer service to avoid any fee. It is insane to see such treatment to loyal customers ! I had to go to another car rental in the same city and they immediately accepted my driving license. Their assumption regarding this deny with Hertz is that they didn’t want me to let the car in another agency in NYC. So they found an excuse not to let me rent the car… Unprofessional and unacceptable situation considering I had to take a flight to go back to France the same day !

Car was filthy inside and out. Washed inside windshield several times just to see through it and needed an air freshener. Tesla updates not done. Tires over inflated and servicing 19,000 miles overdue. Brought the Tesla back in better condition than when I received it.

Great service and way better price then most when you have your own insurance, credit card and AAA. Recommend them over enterprise if you have those 3 things to save money.

Just picked up a rental this morning. Everyone inside is very nice and pleasant. The car rental process is quick and easy, overall a great experience.

On 8/5/2023 suppose to pick up a car that I had a reservation 2 weeks ago and the guy that works there came out the store asking what I want? Mind you I did not even got out of the car... I told him I had a reservation.... he told me there no cars for you to rent can't see that? This guy is not professional no people skill ... bad experience never again I will rent a car from you guys

Made reservations online to pick up on Saturday at noon, website gave no warning that they closed at 12 (like others do) . Arrive a few minutes before noon, the doors are locked. Signs posted on the window that it closes at 12, looked on Google it's say 1300 (and that it was last updated by management 2 weeks ago). Spoke to the Manager outside, he repeats it's closed, explained the situation he didn't care "it's no my problem". Worst customer service, very unprofessional, they are obviously not in the business to make money, therefore I took my business to Budget/Avis who is. I will be contacting corporate over thier disgraceful business practices.

Not the friendliest place. The car prep kid needs an attitude adjustment or perhaps another job such as cleaning rest rooms.

Very disappointed. Was excited to pick up my confirmed reservation. When I got to the location, the employee there was very condescending. First few words were, we have nothing available.Informed him I placed a reservation very early this morning for a Tesla. He said “do you see a Tesla here” which in fact I did see a Tesla there that looked exactly like the one I booked and pointed it out, he said “no that’s not working” Why would you have a non working car at a car rental place?Next thing he said, you can go to Meriden.1) he can’t even confirm a car is available for pick up so I would waste more of my time and money trying to get there.2) if I had a car, I would not be trying to rent a car3) why wasn’t my reservation canceled if the car wasn’t available.I asked him to cancel it and he said he couldn’t do that and this happens at least 3 times a day. If this happens three times a day, I asked him why doesn’t someone do something about it, he said that’s above his and his supervisors pay grade.Will not be going to Waterbury hertz again, zero stars don’t recommend

Employees are rude and unprofessional. They won't do same day rentals even if you make a reservation on thier website. Waited for 45 minutes for nothing I was informed I'd have to go to wallingford or new haven to get the rental after I uberd there. Avoid this place like the plague and rent from enterprise. Did same day with them with zero issues

I took a Uber all the way there to get the car I reserved and when I showed up the gentleman told me that they we’re supposed to email me a cancellation which never happened and that there was no cars left but all of the sudden there was 2 cars he can rent me and after wasting 30 min of my time by answering phone calls and helping them out he proceeded to tell me that these cars are more then double of what I reserved so I had to pay for a Uber ride all the way home. Don’t waste your time they are very unprofessional
