Lost my entire phones worth of data. Call themselves geek squad but can’t even tell me that a repair to my phone would delete everything.

Bad experience. I didn’t have time to go to the Apple Store so I settled going through geek squad after they diagnosed my MacBook they told me i needed to pay the deductible. I said ok thinking that they are going to fix it and I pay for the service once I arrived. After a while i get the phone call that it’s back in the store and because I never payed the deductible it was not fixed. Waste of 2 weeks. Go through Apple directly and don’t waste your time with GEEK SQUAD.

Best Buy was great and had everything in stock but then geek squad was not anywhere close to Best Buy. We went to go to geek squad to fix my Xbox series X HDMI port (we called before to make an appointment ) and they said it was fixable but when we got there they told us they couldn’t. Over all my experience with geek squad was truly disappointing and I do not recommend

Although I get pretty good service at the Best Buy the geek squad counter attendants will disappear in the back and never return after three visits there that has been my experience

I had an issue with a home entertainment center I purchased from Best Buy. I called numerous times with no resolve. Finally they sent a tech named Kevin from the Waterford CT store and he fixed problem. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Kevin from the Geek Squad!

Poor service and availability. Phone availability is impossible- On hold forever when I call, frequent disconnections, they don’t call back, have had my “brand new” Laptop for repair for weeks !!!

Made appointment a week out for iPhone 8 battery replacement. Appointment was made through Apple, so they knew exactly what device I was bringing in and why. After sitting there for 15 minutes while they ran diagnostics, they told me they didn’t have my battery in stock. If I wanted to order a battery, they would need to keep my phone at the store, and that it would take about a week. Obviously not an option. They told me my best bet was to go to an Apple store. Why bother existing if you can’t replace a battery in a phone? Why is the store even an option through the Apple app? I tried calling before hand too to ensure something like this wouldn’t happen. Can’t get through to store direct. Had to go through Best Buy’s nationwide answering service (number listed for geek squad same number as the best buy number). Was on hold for 20 minutes before being disconnected. It’s like going to a quick lube to get an oil change, but you have to leave your car there for a week so they can order oil. So anyways total waste of time and gas. Staff was courteous.

Apple sent me in to have my Apple pen looked at, it stopped working. My husband goes in to have it seen, the employee just took a new pen out of another box and never connected it to my iPad. Said it must be a software issue with my iPad, so decided to sent my iPad off to apple. Took 6 days….get a new replacement iPad to find my pen still doesn’t work. I go buy a whole new pen and it works so it’s obvious the old one doesn’t. Completely incompetent, a whole week without my iPad because the employee didn’t know how to hoot it up. And still have a broken pen.

called store - sent me on line = followed instructions including staying on phone - store picked up said it was a scam.- booked an appt for february 3rd... ugh absolutely no help at all

I had the worst customer service experience of my life. The attitudes of the “geek squad” were very impolite and rude. When I arrived on time to my 11:15 appointment, I was told that I would have to wait about 30 minutes until an associate was ready. I told them that I had an appointment, and someone then emerged from the back, and said “I can take you” in a very standoffish tone. He then told me to turn off the passcode and location services on the phone, which I had no issue doing myself, but this associate continually grabbed my phone, trying to do it himself. After this, I explained that I needed a crack in my phone (iPhone XS Max) fixed. He then told me the cost, which sounded unreasonable to me because online my phone had said it was under limited warranty, which this man then told me would mean that the repair would cost 300 extra dollars. My young daughter became distressed, as she was not expecting this $300 extra. She then began to cry, and this associate stood there, acting as if my daughter’s emotions were a burden, while in fact they were never directed at him. We then grabbed the phone and left, crack still fully there.
