Deep stock. Good tools. Extreme patience. Franky devoted nearly two hours to successfully fit skates on my niece, whose two feet differed by one whole size. He experimented with different brands, widths, insert types, socks – getting closer and closer – then baked the pair that did the trick. She is delighted and prepped to skate with her toddler son, who does not yet know he's NHL bound. Can't say enough good things about Franky, a veteran, horseman, sports encyclopedia and all around big spirit.

I just reviewed my exp through PH’s website directly but wanted to add this to Google too. I threw all my ice hockey equipment out after college. So rebuying all my gear 13 years later was certainly going to be somewhat stressful for me since I’m so “out of the game.” Updates to technology and all. My first time at any of your stores and when I entered through the West Hartford, CT, doors I was instantly impressed by how big and clean the store was. I kept thinking how I would’ve loved this growing up as a kid. George pulled up before the door behind me even closed shut. I instantly felt bad because I knew this was going to be a project in itself (again starting from scratch). George had me in and out in like 60. I never dropped that much money on gear that fast in my life. I tried on multiple pants, skates, etc. George, the whole time was kind, helpful and alert. It wasn’t till the end of my shopping experience when I realized he was a manager too. Which blew away because he was so involved in the whole experience. It also solidified my new found loyalty in the brand that is Pure Hockey. I will continue to get my skates sharpened here from this moment on and PH will always get my first look when I need to upgrade or add to my collection.

This is the best hockey store for any kind of player. The employees here are so kind and helpful and will help you find everything you need. They also sharpen your skates with a wide selection of widths (1/2, 5/8, 11/16, etc.) some widths you need to pay more for, which is the only con of this place. All in all, if you are looking for anything hockey, it’s here.

Great service! The staff were knowledgeable about ice skat fitting and helped outfit my son with the correct size gear.We will be back when we need to get a new pair of skates and pads when the time comes.

I feel bad because I can’t remember the name of the guy that helped me, but he was amazing! He spent about 45 minutes with me explaining how all of the gear should fit for my first set of gear and helped me find the right size for everything. Anything I need for my first season, I will definitely be coming back here!

Shout-out here to Terrell. He spent over an hour helping me buy a whole new set of gear for my daughter. He went above and beyond to make sure everything fit properly and that she was comfortable and protected. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and VERY patient. Much appreciated.

Store was understaffed a bit. Was there for 40 min and didn’t get helped despite telling employees I was there for skates. Customers coming in later then me consistently helped first. Sharpening and profiling definitely take precedence. Staff was friendly but just didn’t have the manning. Ended up leaving without being helped.
