After paying a visit to this Quest location, I left with the worst and most disturbing experience ever from this lab and diagnostic company. I had no choice but to check in the system as a “walk in” patient, which basically means the patient will be treated as a second rate person by default. Quest states in there disclaimer that walk ins are called in after the patients that have scheduled appointments. I was finally called in and was pulled up in there system to find out I have a previous balance. I explained to the lab technician I have an ongoing payment plan so there should be discrepancies of this situation. She ended up turning me away even though I showed her proof of my ongoing payment plan. I was promised upon agreeing to the plan that I should not be denied services. The technician was completely out of line in her preconceived judgement of refusing me and was clearly incompetent and discriminating. My past experiences with the payment plan have never been refused service from other Quest locations

Made the appointment online 4 days ago, said 12:00 at 970 Farmington Ave. Do not drive so arranged for a ride. Got there at 11:30, arranged to be picked up at 12:30. The check in machine did not work, the staff-extremely rude, was told I didn't have an appointment! They didn't even check their records! Another company next time, will not return to Quest!!

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to Alvana and Jenn, who assisted my son at the West Hartford Quest office located at 970 Farmington Ave, West Hartford, Connecticut, on May 18th. My son has profound autism and is nonverbal. He is extremely fearful of needles and blood tests have always been a huge challenge.
On the morning of May 18th, we visited the Quest office at the West Hartford center. Initially, my son was very anxious and uncooperative. Alvana and Jenn were incredibly patient and understanding. They took the time to calm him down and did everything possible to make him feel comfortable. Thanks to their compassion and professional expertise, they successfully completed my son's blood work.
We are immensely grateful for their help and kindness.

The courtesies of the lab worker were above and beyond fantastic. My paper work was incorrect and she called the doctor's office and got everything corrected.

Your system is efficient. The people are skilled and kind. I have very difficult veins - for everyone except your 970 Farmington Avenue in West Hartford staff. They are amazing and very much appreciated.

I was admitted promptly. Josie dealt quickly with a problem in the requisition I had brought in. Her phlebotomy skills were excellent.

I spent my entire so nervous because of all the negative reviews….
First of all there is plenty of parking. Park in that big lot that is behind chipotle and walk through the doors that say 970. Then, follow the signs!
I made and appointment for 3.40. I checked in at 3:20 and was in at 3.30 and out by 3:35. It has been almost 10 years since I had blood drawn so I was pretty nervous. The woman I was with was kind, compassionate, and funny. Thank you!

Here and other locations seem like a joke. 0 patients being seen and yet no availability. What are they doing? No patients being seen but can't take a 10 minute max patient? Quest used to be great. Not sure what happened
