Young brunette, pale skin, working at the front desk at 2pm on 10/26/2024 was beyond rude and condescending. I would never hire staff like that at my place of business. Horrible experience. Waste of time. Fire her.

The location has a unique charm and the service provided by the staff member was exceptionally welcoming. The pricing is slightly higher than expected. My reservation was scheduled from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm (with a maximum time of 90 minutes), however, the staff requested our table 10 minutes earlier due to another party early arrival. This may have been a miscommunication as we were under the impression of a 90-minute reservation. .plus the stuff members was rushing us and I didn't appreciate it.

Today is May 18, 2024.. They were two of us stopped in today at 1 o’clock and the woman at the desk was extremely rude.. We were from out of town and the girl at the desk ( I did not get her name but this is a physical description of her… She had long brown hair, very very pale skin. However she had asked if we had a reservation we said no.. she told us we should’ve had a reservation…I’ve never ever had to go and make a reservation to do a ceramic , and she was very unaccommodating telling us we could sit outside in the rain and do a project. or She could take our number and give us a call maybe in four hours if something opens up..
I would not visit your facility again. I find it unprofessional and customer service to me is the core of any business.

This was such an amazing experience. 10/10! The staff were so friendly and this was the perfect date idea. They had so many pottery pieces to choose from and colors! Will definitely be back.

I registered for a class, which got canceled and the cancellation email claimed you will be reimbursed. When I went in person to get my money back, none of the staff had a clue how to do that and their excuse was their system is shut down. I went there three more times in different months to get my money back and their system was still shut down!!!! should i believe them or not!

Had a wonderful experience here twice. It’s a very nice concept to spend some quality time with your dear one. You simply select the pottery you want to paint and they give you instructions to paint and how to paint.Better to have a reservation when you go.The pottery you paint is ready in a week and you have your art work ready with you.

I’ve been going here for 10+ years but I recently ordered a ceramic initial from here. I had one from many years ago. I stored it in the attic when we were repainting and renovating my bedroom. That was delayed due to covid so it sat in the attic and we also had to get our roof done during the renovation. Somehow when we had our roof redone it was damaged while it was in storage in my attic. I was so devastated. I called told them my story and asked if they still had them. They were so nice, understanding and helpful. They didn’t have them at the studio anymore but they were able to order one for me. They copied my digital design I sent in onto the letter V. I absolutely love how it came out! They also pre-drilled teeny tiny holes so I could hang it with wire. This made my day when I picked it up today! I am so grateful that they did this for me! It meant so much to me. Please support The Claypen and pay them a visit! The staff are amazing and it’s a wonderful environment. Some of my best memories were at the Claypen. Their sister studio called The Firestone is also really nice and has a big open space with lots of natural light and a cafe! I have been to both many times. It’s always fun. It’s great for spending time with family, friends or even date night! I 100% recommend going!

It’s a very clean, and cute little shop and we had so much fun painting. However, I was disappointed when I brought my cereal bowl home and went to go wash it so it could be eaten out of and water got underneath the glaze. On the bottom there is raw ceramic showing from where (I assume) the stilts were holding the piece up in the kiln. It was very disappointing when the water seeped under the glaze and caused it to crack. The more I wash it, the larger the cracks get. I have pieces from this same place that I made a few years back and they don’t have this issue?

the first time of me going here was amazing and megan was great but the second time was AWFUL and picking up my pieces AWFUL Lilly has absolutely no manners nor customer service as they told me my piece was still not ready AFTER 7 days bc of the broken kiln which is fine, but the problem is when im asking questions and they have an attitude and when i say thank you for your help its “mhmmm” and when i went to get the pieces finally, i had a big piece and a small one and she just hands them to me clearly they are fragile and big then shes proceeds to say “oh did you want them wrapped” i DID but forget it because it seems like everything i was asking or saying was a burden to her or was annoying here and for that i will NOT be coming back here. i was excited to go every time but this really ruined it for me!!

We had a great experience here! We went with 6 people total (3 kids) and had a blast! They have beautiful examples of the pieces so people can have some creativity help. Every time we come here, the staff members are very good with the children and they are extremely patient. Their customer service always is 10/10 - absolutely incredible!
