“This is my favorite location in the area. The manager is kind and organized and runs the best “squishy drop” I’ve seen yet. Streamlines the line and is very fair!”

“Haven’t been to a five below in a while, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! As soon as I walked in, there was a person greeting me at the door with a warm smile, and I instantly knew I was home. The shelves are fully stocked, and everything is at a great price. I went to the paper store to buy candy that was $10, but at five below you can get 3 for $5. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment. I was here to buy a birthday gift, and the birthday boy was super excited with what I gave him. One of the only stores around that still gives you quality and quantity! Five below did not disappoint and I’ll be sure to come back within the week.”

“The lady working here is really kind and you can tell that she truly wants to help her clients in any way she can as she helped me today. She showed me some Ecuadorian gifts that I could bring to my boss and there was a snack called “Tango” that she let me try. I ended up getting 2 gift items and am definitely coming back to get more snacks.”

“The staff at this store are so wonderful. They always greet customers when they walk in and they keep the store clean and organized. Today however, they went SO above and beyond that I had to stop and write this review. This store is my six year old son’s favorite store. He received a gift card from his aunt for his Birthday and was excited to come choose a toy today. However he somehow managed to lose his gift card while choosing a toy. Upon asking the clerk (perhaps the manager I believe his name is Justin) if anyone turned in a $10 gift card my son began to cry. Well that wasn’t going to fly here! Despite the busy Holiday rush, several clerks jumped into action! It was so sweet - they allowed him to choose a toy AND replaced his $10 giftcard. This gesture was so very kind. It made my sons day. We will not forget their kindness, it is so rare these days. Nice work Team Branford Five Below!!!!!”

“Love everything that’s there. Great quality. Especially for party needs and some simple home decor. Very good pots and pans the last I went + ceramics (over a year ago). I love family dollar and dollar tree but this is above and beyond + great prices for things. The store also doesn’t have super stuffy air like some similar places do. Knickknacks near checkout are very cute and again good quality for what it is. Obsessed with the off brand ‘Crock jibbits’, just as good quality. Store is generally clean.”

“The store is clean and organized and the staff was nice. The shelves were stocked and the store was organized. They have self checkout but assist you. I didn't love the pricing on the rugs ($15) but they are larger than when they were $5.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
