Devil's Den Preserve is a wonderful nature preserve and great place to hike with over 20 miles of trails. Visitors can choose a very short and simple hike or a lengthy and difficult one. The hike is amazing, featuring an epic lake and waterfall. The preserve is still beautiful in all seasons, with a portion called Great Ledge offering a beautiful view of the Saugatuck Reservoir. Trails are very well maintained and well marked, making them easy to navigate with a map. A wonderful interactive trail map is available to help pick a trail. Paper maps are also available, though a tablet is provided to download a map. The smallish parking lot typically has no issues finding a spot. Visitors should be careful as there are lots of rocks and debris to step over. The preserve welcomes visitors every day from sunrise to sunset but does not allow pets or bicycles on the trails. Any temporary closures are posted on the website and with signage. For more information, visit the website or call the visitor information line.
