The worseAfter returning the car spotless the racist staff charged my cc 450.00, after calling them for explanation they told me corporate charged me for smoking where I never smoked in my life with 2 kids In the back seat and then ends up hanging up the phone. Never again and recommend no one renting from this company again

While on a road trip with the family from NYC to Boston our original rental van was having some mechanical issues. After getting the run around and bad information from the 800 corporate customer service number we finally pulled into Budget Westport. After patiently listening to my sob story Qas got us into a replacement van and quickly back on the road. He was extremly helpful and friendly. He treated us like we were family even though we were just random people passing through town. Qas was like our guardian angel we didnt know we needed. Thanks Qas!

Great customer service, good location, The manager (I forgot his name) was so helpful and accommodative, he gave me a nice clean car even bigger I reserved initially.and the rental pricing was reasonable.I will definitely rent from them again in the future.

The Budget Office I rented my Vehicle from was really accommodating and understood my needs. I was fitted with a Car that was effective for my needs.. Customer Service at that Office went above and beyond to accommodate making my experience Awesome..

The two guys that run this place are awesome. I have rented cars here many times, they are always helpful, with a smile on their faces, and they process things QUICKLY when you need them to.

Called while my wife and I were on the train to westport, 3 hours before our reservation, to cancel on us. We had booked and paid days in advance. After canceling also declined to help in any way possible. Completely subpar customer service. Sending this to all rental services now.

I don't know why all the negative reviews, we had a great experience. After our car broke down on our way to a wedding in Massachusetts, we happened to be close by and they had a car available immediately. It was clean and new and the price was good. We could even return it late Sunday night even though the place was closed. No complains.

The WORST car rental place!!! I wouldn't even give them a star if I could. Will never even attempt to rent from budget and especially not this location. Made a reservation and when we arrived, after sitting in traffic for 30 minutes the guy working told us although we had a reservation, they did not have any cars. He said "I was supposed to call you and let you know but I didn't," then proceeded to be so rude. He does not know how to treat customers or people in general. I asked to see if he could see if another location had a car and he said he can't. He didn't even apologize or attempt to make the situation right. I called customer service where the woman I spoke to apologized and tried to get me a car from the Fairfield location, the only thing was that they would not match the price of the reservation I had yet it is the same company, getting the car from Fairfield was a $200 price difference, she told me that I could to the location directly and see if they could provide me with a car for the price I had the reservation for since they had cars available at that location. After waiting for 30 minutes at the fairfield location since there was only one person working, the woman told me that they didn't have any cars available either and wouldn't for another 3 hours and if I could wait till then, I replied that I couldn't since I had already pushed back my trip by a few hours wasting time going to the Westport location. I left and went to enterprise where they were so accommodating and nice. The gentleman that assisted us was great, not only did he match the price of the reservation we had after explaining to him what happened, he found us a better deal!! Needless to say I will rent from enterprise from now on, I should've gone to them from the beginning.

Horrible, had a reservation and when I got there they didn't had the car I reserved with was a standard, but there were more vehicles and the skinny Indian guy in the night shift, completely rude by the way, told me that even I had a reservation they didn't have a car and they couldn't give one of the ones that were there cause it was not what I reserved. So I proceeded to call customer service were Axel told me they have a 48 hours policy that they can't guarantee a reservation. I asked to speak with the manager on duty, Axel put me on hold and then told me that there was no manager on duty. This is by far the worst car rental and the worst customer service I've encounter. Never come here, I suggest to take an cab to a different Car rental Company

Budget is terrible. They will nickel and dime you to death, and make decisions that hurt both the customer *and* themselves. Makes no sense. Do not be fooled by the low(ish) sticker price. This company is worth avoiding.
