Price: as others have mentioned, this place is quite expensive. They do have coupons in the Westport calendar, so take advantage of the $10 off $50.Quality: I got some San Marzano tomato plants from here, and they were awesome!

This place is the Disneyland of plants, you can talk to Augusto to chat about plants and walk around to find the different indoor/outdoor choices and your little ones can always entertain themselves with the chickens or cats ;-)

Several options of beautiful plants. Employees are unhelpful and rude. I thought I had found a new place but the attitude of the people working leaves a lot to be desired.

Probably my favorite place on earth. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, they treat everyone like family. I can't say enough good things about this nursery. Every edible plant they sell is organic, and they even have a winter farmer's market on Thursday's.I love you Gilbertie's!!!

I have always loved Gilbertie's and all they do, plus their importance to our community so I hesitated to post this review. I went there Saturday to buy some annuals and perennials. The stock was running low, which was not that unusual given it's the end of June. However, the staff I encountered were blah at best and cranky at worst. There was little customer activity so it wasn't as if they were busy. Maybe they're just worn out by a busy season. However, I ended up leaving without buying the few plants I had considered. I went to Oliver's in Fairfield instead and purchased plants there. I was also greeted with enthusiasm. I hope it was just one bad day at Gilberties and that they will re-energize, for their benefit and mine.
