Clean, kind, compassionate no-kill cat shelter where all cats are safe whether adoptable or not. It's a fantastic place to volunteer as well as a very responsible adoption group.

Does animals in distress discriminate against all families that have any kind of mental illness (autism, dementia, downs syndrome, etc) or do they pick & choose? Even when there has only been love towards all animals and no violence whatsoever? Just curious. I was told my mom with dementia might let a cat outside on mistake. Which would not happen.

Outstanding and caring no-kill shelter. We have adopted twice from AID and highly recommend them. Stop by most Saturday afternoons and visit the cats -- right behind Town Hall in Wilton.

It is important to check thoroughly that an animal is going into safe and loving hands. Children, even from most loving families, frequently lack in care and compassion, despite what their parents might think. Pets aren't toys. Pets are children too. They are not for entertainment.

These are the most amazing people who run this. They changed our lives when we adopted our little guy “Bootsie” now “Bugsy”. They know their cats well and can recommend a perfect match.

My Mother’s Day gift is a gift that keeps giving. We adore these two. A.I.D is a lovely compassionate organization. Thank you Animals In Distress!
