Titled: CVS Pharmacy supervisor tells her customers "You are lucky we come to work!" The CVS pharmacy in Wilton closes for lunch everyday from 1:30-2:00. Those of us in the community know this and re-arrange our schedules to accommodate this. But now that's not enough, as you will learn from this story. Today, with his hand swollen and head spinning, 30 minutes prior to the lunch hour closing and having stood in line for 10 minutes, my husband was told to come back again after 2:00pm. He was not told this because they could not fill the prescription for valid reasons, ie they had received the script earlier, they had the med, they had multiple staffing filling scripts.... . He explained to the check out clerk that he had just had hand surgery hours before and this prescription was for the pain meds; and that he could not drive and could not come back. The clerk and the staff wanted to fill it and send him on his way, but Janae, the supervisor told them not to do this. Being the gentle soul he is, he took the rebuff and went to wait in the car for me. I had just finished shopping at the local market across the street and was appalled by the fact that he was turned away, so I went into the pharmacy directly. It was 1:20 and the pharmacy was still open. The pharmacy shift supervisor, Janae, told me that she instructed her pharmacists to not fill my husband's prescription because the pharmacists are working too hard and that I should be happy that they come into work. When I said we are a small community and we try to support our local businesses, Janae pointed out to me that CVS is a corporation, not a community pharmacy. Oh where or where did the local pharmacies go? As I read other Yelp comments, it seems perhaps the problem is the individual, not the store. If that is the case, I hope broader awareness will get this issue addresses as this IS the COMMUNITY pharmacy.

This location is Completely disfunctional. Reports of lost prescriptions and "out of stock drugs for months" long lines and several employees bouncing around highly confused. Extremely rude unprofessional pharmacist/manager on duty when I was there. Go else where.

Love having a CVS in Wilton, but the pharmacy is unreliable at best. Lately, they've been periodically closed during hours when they should be open. CVS never notified us of any issues such as meds requiring doctor instructions or confirmations. We would make our way over there and start the back and forth with them. There's usually a line for the pharmacy. Avoid the pharmacy at all costs at 2pm, since they're closed for lunch from 1:30-2pm. The final straw for us was when the pharmacist walked out effectively shuttering the pharmacy for the day. My husband needed urgent antibiotics, so we had to painstakingly switch the prescription to another pharmacy and still couldn't get the meds because CVS marked them as in-progress. This wasn't the case. We were able to get them the following morning at the Stop and Shop pharmacy in Wilton. The pharmacist there was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and highly communicative, unlike CVS. I would give CVS pharmacy 1 star, but the retail location is good. It's not as big as the one in Ridgefield, but they have most necessities.

Wrong Cvs pharmacy recvd script. Intern in Wilton said my job to call and lift hold. I said can't u do it? She said no(I just spent 10mins with other CVs and they said call the one u want) and then when I threatened to leave and can I speak to pharmacist after she was saying too busy to call... anyway is this laziness... a lie? switch to a privately owned pharmacy... no waiting... no options on phone... much better service... they aren't corporate behemoths and need our business

I've lived in major cities all my life where chain pharmacies look like hellscapes, products strewn about, an overburdened pharmacy and exhausted general staff. That being said, I struggle with these negative reviews for the Wilton CVS. The staff is helpful, the store is clean, and, while there can be a wait every now and then at the pharmacy, I've always been treated courteously and with the utmost kindness and efficiency. Perspective, people!

Walked into this place to get a prescription to hear the pharmacist YELLING at a customer! I don't care how rude somebody is, be professional!

This is the worst CVS ever. No medications are in stock. When they say they will order it for you, they don't and/or it never comes in. It is impossible to speak to a pharmacist. You will be on hold for ever!!!

I am a little surprised at the negative reviews. I have gone there for 2 years now and have found them to be helpful (looking up things for me, suggesting coupons, etc) and polite. If the wait is long, it might not be something they have control over. I've seen several patrons who say no call the insurance, this is wrong, wait how much etc. I used a different CVS before and much prefer this one. I've been able to go within an hour and pick the prescriptions up and occasionally they have rushed things for me w a sick child etc.

CVS is where I fill all my prescriptions for my family and myself. The pharmacy seems to always be busy, and waiting in line is almost always inevitable. If your child is sick and your doctor calls in a prescription, be prepared to wait if you are in a hurry to get it. In general, the wait is not too long once they know you are there. However, I did experience a very long wait once (almost an hour!) because it was simply crazy-busy and they were understaffed. But that is an exception. I've been going there for many years and that experience happened just once. I like the convenience of picking up other items that I might need while there getting my prescription. The store has everything: toiletries, makeup, magazines, gifts, cards, food and of course medicine and first aid needs in the pharmacy section.

I go here to fill my prescriptions. Experience has been good. In fact one of the staff (R.) went out his way to get me reduction on my expensive prescription and saved me almost $80.

Staff is rude, especially two female older cashiers daytime. Store is shoddy. Many things are way over priced. Check out is interesting---you risk getting yelled at if they are in a sour mood (usually are). Why do I go here???

It's decent. But far too often they only have 1 or 2 people at the registers, making check-out a long process. And this specific CVS routinely does not have all of their sales price tags posted underneath products, making for a confusing shopping experience. They also need to step up their general customer service as others noted, far too many grumpy & uninterested employees here.

This store is old and dated. Far too much stuff crammed into this store and the layout is terrible. There is always a queue at the pharmacy and i find the staff in the pharmacy area rude and distant - yes they rae busy but that doesn't stop you from providing good customer service. They almost always don't have the required medication in stock which means another day of waiting or so. And they don't fill generic prescriptions (even though the doctors prescrioption says to). So be aware. Rude and unfriendly. I'll never go back again.

Again another terrible experience. Some of the clerks just don't seem to care. The pharmacy is an exercise in poorly designed processes. Latest example: Went to pick up my meds. Apparently the data on my insurance card has changed, so they need to update my records. Fine. She hands it to the guy who needs to do it (why she can't is one of the issues. A customer service person should be able to do this). He gets distracted by a phone call, and other things. My card is just sitting next to the computer. He walks away, dealing with other crap. After 15 minutes I just left. Came back the next day and it was all done. All she had to say was "This could take a bit, do you want to wait?" I would have said no, I'll come back. It was not urgent. But I just was left in limbo. And again, their computer systems are just awful. Time to try something else.

is it possible to have a least favorite cvs? well yah, it is this one. its a tiny space crammed with stuff. the pharmacy is slow at filling prescriptions, so there are usually many people waiting in the tiny cramped aisles with low ceilings. weird. the next closest ones are normal new construction with wide aisles and high ceilings and larger pharmacies. a few times this location has not had meds and sent me to one of the other ones to get rx filled. not convenient. just go to the bigger ones.
