My repair was done within a day, and the car is now in excellent condition - clean and looking like new. Despite issues finding parts and some delays, everything went smoothly and we are so happy with the job done here. Pricing was fair, and the actual cost was pretty much the same as the quote. Hopefully you never find yourself in a situation where you need body repairs done, but if you do then this is the place to go.”

“I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of any car service! Kas and his team helped fix up my Mazda, which was in need of a lot of work, in a professional and timely manner. I haven’t had the best experience with mechanics in my home town so when a friend recommended this place and gave glowing reviews, I had to check it out. He definitely was right! Kas took the time to explain what was needed in a way that made sense to me - someone with minimal knowledge of cars - and would keep me updated with what work was needed and prices so that I wouldn’t be surprised with an unexpected bill. Other places I’ve been to would hold my car for a week to get one thing done but Kas and his team were able to do it all in one day! Kas even waited after hours so that I could pick up my car the same day I brought it in! “A few weeks ago the bumper on my BMW was vandalized in the parking lot at my job. I took it to Twin Ridge Services because my Dad used to take all our cars there for repairs when I was younger. I wasn’t sure exactly who to speak to because in the past my Dad would handle everything. When I arrived I spoke with a younger gentleman named Nico. He inspected the car that day and gave me a timeframe on how long the job would take. I dropped off the car a few days later on my lunch break. Nico was generous to give me a ride back to work so I didn’t have to call a cab. When I went to pick up my car a few days later it was washed, cleaned and parked out front for pickup. Not only did they repair the part that was damaged but they also replaced and painted the entire front bumper. When I have kids I’m going to keep the tradition going and make sure I continue sending them to Twin Ridge Services.”

The mechanic spent a lot of effort to replace very rusty suspension parts with stuck bolts, and did it perfectly at a reasonable price. “Went to Bob after a more “well known” shop couldn’t diagnose my problem but suggested thousands of dollars in work anyway. Took my car to Bob the next day and he was able to not only diagnose my biggest concern, he did it quickly and kept me informed the whole time (including letting me know that it was under warranty from the dealer because of X number of miles - something I would’ve never known to even look into). He even went so far as to educate me about a recent unrelated recall on my car that I wasn’t aware of. Left with a much more manageable bill and happy to continue to give my service to Bob. Great guy!!”

“Another excellent experience with Greg at Vautrin Auto. Earlier this year Audi dealership warned me that timing belt would require changing soon, but their quoted price was way too much. Needless to say, check engine light recently went on in my Audi Q5. I contacted Greg who was busy as ever but still managed to squeeze my suv in his schedule. He quickly diagnosed the problem and confirmed what was expected. Greg was very honest in letting me know that it would take some time for him to work on the suv, and after a few days he replaced the timing belt and few other items needed, all way under quoted dealer price. “Honestly very happy with my experience here. I was expecting to pay much more, nearly double than what I actually paid. He didn’t even bill me for a full hour of work, when I’m sure many other shops would’ve drilled into my pockets for the same service or would’ve billed a full hour if able.Reading through the reviews on this thread, it seems as if many of the one-star reviews involve being towed. Of course if your cars towed you’re going to have a horrible experience. “I would give them 100 stars if I could! We were traveling through town and broke down in our vintage ‘89 Dodge Ram Camper Van. They don’t make parts for this year anymore, and they went over and above to get us back on our Appalachian Trail adventure of our lives by retrofitting a new fuel pump! This shop is top-notch. They worked nonstop to get us back on the road and made it only a two-day delay in our schedule!”

“I drove up to Long Ridge Service from downtown Stamford this morning and only had less than a half hour to get my emissions done. I took the chance before work. What a pleasant experience! I only had to wait 10 minutes until the mechanic drove my car into the bay and conducted the test. Very courteous service as well. I originally went to Goodyear on East Main Street in Stamford 2x!! I went to get the test done at 8:15 am . , no one at the front desk for 10 minutes, finally, a reluctant rep comes to the front desk, could care less, and the front desk rep told me they don't start taking cars for emissions until 9! Then I showed up at 9 and was told there was a 35 minute wait at least because they had a car in the bay and could not do any testing. I never had an issue 3 years ago when I went but now, customer service has significantly deteriorated! I can only imagine how the treat their regular customers for car repairs..”

“I had work done on my Saab twice the past year and was happy with this shop.I normally do my own work but found myself in a position where I was unsure if I able to do it on my own. I went to two other shops prior to coming here and one refused to do work because I had my own parts (which were OEM parts), the other shop refused because "they don't do Saabs". This place took in my car and had it done within 24 hours. They were honest and charged reasonable prices. They were very kind, patient, and answered all questions. I'll be returning in the future.”

“Rental went perfectly. There is an on-line check in process so that I was able to get the rental without waiting. The rental was the cleanest I have ever used. It was clean, full of gas and the rental agreement was correctly done. Checkout was equally easy. Do be aware that by the time that you add taxes fees and insurance, your one day $19.99 rental will be close to $100. Still my best experience with a truck rental ever.”

“The gentlemen that runs this shop couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We were visiting family in town from Florida for Thanksgiving when our Mercedes broke down on the side of the road from a cooling issue. This happened late Wednesday afternoon the day before Thanksgiving. I spoke to him before we had it towed to his shop and explained to him that we needed to get the car back by the weekend if possible to go back to Florida. He said he would look at it when they reopened on Friday morning. This was spectacular as the Mercedes dealer was quoting a week and half to get it looked at let alone fixed. So Friday arrives and the car is fixed and running smoothly like it was before the breakdown.
