“Same old USPS. Employees here are always nice to me and I never had any problems. I even had one of them help me get my packages when I was shipping alot of stuff out.”

“They just make the whole packing and shipping easy! I sent a huge drum to PR, no problem; I sent a suitcase to someplace out west, it arrived on time and not bangged up!”

“I went into the Torrington store to ship a package to my grandson In North Carolina. Harmony was excellent to work with. We had to change the address a couple times because of our own fault and she was very patient and helped us make sure we get our Christmas present shipped out. Thanks again, Harmony.”

“Just had a great experience at this post office. We are not from the area and needed to ship a few things back home that would not fit into our luggage. The staff person was very helpful in getting us the best rate, and let us use their packaging tape. Despite that there were a few people there, it was an efficient process.”

“Every time I've have been to this post office everyone has been so kind, efficient, and helpful. Specifically TAI and SUSAN are awesome. Tai just spent 15 min with me telling me all the ways he could save me money shipping things all over the country. Seriously what more could you ask for from an establishment!? PRO TIP: If you're nice to people that are doing you a service they typically respond a lot better and do their job faster. A smile goes a LONG way ;)”

“I have several demands for the Torrington post office going forward. First, I want pictures of how it used to look, because it must have been fancy. The public post office is made up of three rooms - lobby in the middle, retail shop on the right, and post office boxes on the left. There are these heavy duty wooden tables by the post office boxes who must have been used on both sides at one point (they're now pushed against the wall). The airplane-like windows must have looked so modern at one point. There are also other doors. Did they used to go somewhere? Was a small cafe attached on the left side of the building, explaining what looks like a separate entrance? Did the walls once hold more art? To my second demand, I want information about the current art. What is up now looks like pieces (imagined) of local boy who tried really hard to do good, John Brown. They're really interesting, and deserve a plaque with more information! As the post office actually is though - the drive up mailbox is a winter godsend, but has a fun tight corner to get to the drop slot. Prepare to lean. Parking is always available, and the retail shop has more postal purchasing opportunities than anywhere else I've seen since 2005. No late hours, but if you need stamps or shipping material they'll have it here!”
