Very interesting and inspiring mural/story for anyone (including children) to see. They also have a short video featuring the artists and an interview of a NYC firefighter featured in rhe mural. They have more for kids than I had imagined, including a scavenger hunt, books for kids to read, and a little area with markers and paper for kids who are inspired to create after seeing this amazing mural. Finally, the people who work here are very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly.

The largest collaborative 3-dimensional mural in the world. A visual history of the country through its workers.Located in the repurposed mill factory. You can take pictures from four levels of ramps placed across the mural. Possibly best is to take a panoramic shot from the middle of the top ramp.

AMP is a great example of the words "awesome" and "awe-inspiring," creating a true sense of awe in the visitor. The art here is large and powerful yet it still feels so personal as it connects the visitor with a larger community. And it is more than just "art on a wall," as there are terrific volunteer guides as well as programs for different ages and interests. Winsted is lucky to have this new landmark in their town! Be sure to get a guided tour to introduce you to the highlights of the mural. And support your local artists!

An incredible experience and worth the drive. You will be proud to be a working American whatever your politics. Check the website as it is a work in progress and hours are limited.
