Just attended the Easter "Egg Hunt" they hosted this year and I've never been more disappointed in an event. Extremely unorganized and not planned well at all. There were a good 300 children there if not more and they tossed little to no eggs, most of the kids were crying because they got no eggs, and the kids that did get any had maybe 5 eggs in their basket. It was a complete money grab from the owners they should feel ashamed. Most if not all the parents there were reall angry, you felt ripped off. The pony ride was a joke, one small pony made to ride over 100 kids not to mention it was an extra cost. I will never ever bring my child to any events at this place again and I wouldn't advise anyone else to waste their time or money here either. Complete scam.

We had our son's 2nd birthday party on a very rainy day in March. Although the weather was subpar for this early spring season. Everyone we met and spoke with at Hillside was GREAT. When I called 2 months ago to book the party a man named Robert answered the phone he was funny and personable. We shared some laughs and time pass until a few days before the party when we knew we would have some heavy rains. He explained to us how things would work in bad weather and rested any nerves we had. The day of the party we arrived earlier then we needed to so our little one could sleep in the car before the party #carnaps. The family before us left and 3 staff members went in and helped clean the space, light up the wood burning stove and keep the space warm and comfortable for us. A little while later Farmer/owner Buck came in and gave us some history on the farm and fun animal facts. We got in a trailer and were taken down to another barn where he had the whole groups attention and told us stories and had animals for the kids to pet and ride. We played games and laughed, met a Zebu and her calf, and even pet some baby ducks. All in all our son and the kids had a great time, we don't control the weather and that would be the only thing I would have changed otherwise everything was perfect. I would also add that everyone we encountered either that was working or just stabling their own horses there were all very nice and pleasant.

Took my family to a Christmas event to spend a good time and was very disappointed. Spent around $100 and after an hr in a half left very unhappy. The owner laughed in my voice when voicing concerns after my incident at the food truck Demboyz which were very rude and had a tremendous attitude. Left without food and hungry kids after waiting 50 minutes for the food. Volunteer staff quite friendly but wouldn’t ever go back there again after how we were treated.

The person who answered the phone lacks basic people skills, and it appears that he was never taught how to communicate effectively. I suspect he might be the owner of the business. Today, when I called, the man displayed a complete lack of understanding about appropriate behavior, which was disheartening. It's unfortunate to see someone reach adulthood without developing common sense in working with others. What's even worse is that the business prominently displays a large cross at the entrance, yet the owner doesn't seem to grasp its significance.I genuinely believe that most of the positive reviews for this business are fake. As someone from Wolcott and a Christian with a long family history of faith, I don't think this individual should receive support from true believers or Christian organizations. I encourage you to take your business elsewhere, where you'll surely be treated better.

I called to only inquire about horseback riding lessons, which is what is stated on the site. The man who answered was so rude and unclear. Then he hung up on me as if I was giving a problem by just asking a question. I instantly became uninterested. I would have loved to experience the lessons here as it is close to my home & seemed like a great idea. I don’t think he should answer calls anymore.

This is A Zorse half zebra half horse he is very unique so if you wanna see him live you should come out to the farm. You can also get horseback rides. It is a very family friendly place so bring the family out and explore the beautiful farm.

Went to visit the farm with my family.this past weekend for the first time. Was approached by a very rude man named Robby.who said he ran the farm store. He raced over to us on a golf cart nearly running into my son.I was ready to leave after that. My kids wanted to see the animals so we continued about our visit. We met a very nice couple hanging out with their horse near the play ground area. I can’t recall the horses name but it was the name of a candy .My daughter asked questions and the sweet natured woman answered all my daughters questions with a warm smile. She taught my children the correct way to feed a horse treat. A nice flat hand she repeated. We asked about ridding lessons and she suggested getting contact with Farmer Buck.I wish I could remember her name. She was so pleasant and her horse was a good boy. She erased the experience with Robby and we continued to walk around the rest of the farm enjoying our visit .We went to see my parents and the kids were so excited to them about the nice woman and chestnut horse they met on the farm.If you know who I am talking about please thank her again for her kindness and taking the time to answer my kids questions she is wonderful and her horse is fantastic.Andrew

A great farm, so clean and family friendly. My granddaughter Brigid takes riding lessons here and is extremely happy with the horses and the farm and Buck and the farm help. We are looking forward to another season of lessons.
