A new sign proclaims "Grand" opening but the customer experience is anything but. After months of waiting for the re-opening of a blighted, understocked, and dated 7-Eleven, local residents will be disappointed by the re-opening of a...blighted, understocked, and dated 7-Eleven.

I have been overcharged at two different 7-11 stores. I visited the store located at 1850 M St NW on April 24 because I know 7-11 usually have the Planter's peanuts that I like for $0.69 each or 2 for $1.09. Both times when I purchased 2 packs, I was still charged the individual price of $0.69 for each item. Explanation? On the first purchase (VA store) the clerk didn't have an explanation, just that the items rang up correctly. On the second purchase, the clerk told me at the DC location that, "The 2 packs of nuts were rang up at a cost of $1.09 but the $1.38 price (for 2 packs) includes DC tax which are outrageous." Mind you, DC tax is 6% and I know that tax on an item for $1.09 should not be $0.29. So that means that I was charged tax at a rate of 26.7%. Highway robbery!!! I've decided that I'm not shopping at 7-11 again. If you plan to purchase anything from there that's 2 for a certain price, check before you pay because you will definitely be charged at the individual price for your items.

This place has been temporarily closed for a few months now. They should update the listing here. This location sucks anyway for the people working here are very rude and this place comes off as unsanitary. Management should be changed and/or shut down all-together.

Randomly closed with no explanation. A lot of upset people found the same thing while we waited for an Uber. Walked a ways to get here. Don't waste your time.

Once again, if you say you're 24/7 than you need to be open 24/7. Also since when was it company policy for cashier's to ask for tips, and then say "only one dollar?" When you do tip them?

This place is not open 24/7. Don't try to get in after 11pm. They lock the doors and give you a dumb look through the window.

Super overpriced for everything vs other 7-Elevens, but this is sort of the norm around here and they kinda have a captive audience since there's not much else within a reasonable walking distance when it comes to 24 hour convenience stores, and it's one of the only places I've found to buy cigarettes around here (but they were so freakin expensive that if you're a smoker and your pack is running low you should really buy them BEFORE you come over this way)
