So after finding the other outlet near Columbia Heights Metro closed, I rushed for this one on Florida and guess what…… they closed too😫. These are not 24/7 open convenience stores, stop misleading us!

Don’t follow their own posted hours and are actively alienating the community that lives here. Pretty soon the very people that they have an enhanced police presence for and the unsuspecting tourist/transplant are going to be the only ones shopping there.
And when the boogie/more expensive convient store open a block up, and the city reroutes and reshapes so that the homeless leave a now gentrified/gringo/no sabo Columbia Heights, they will look back and say/think In so many words that equate to “the Latinos and the black abandoned us” but it was them who abandoned us. It was them that watched as their customers dwindled and their employees grow ruder. It was them that closed minutes to hours early so they could chat and go home hours away(because of course they can’t afford this area). And in the end, when they in the death throws they will be fired and relocated to SE where there will do it all over again.
But c’est la vie, non?
