I use 7-Eleven often to reload money on my card. It’s normally very easy and the clerks are generally helpful. Not this time. I was in a time crunch and needed to put money on my card to get an Uber to work. As I handed the clerk my cash and card (they have to swipe the card behind the register to do this), she said she needed to scan my app. I thought she meant the 7-Eleven app, but she was referring to my bank app. My bank doesn’t offer QR Codes, so I wasn’t sure what she meant. When I explained to her how the other 7-Elevens do this, all she would say is “System not working.” - but she didn’t even try. Just “System not working”. She had someone else come to the register and they spoke in a different language then they both just said “Sustem not working”. I was distressed and stranded, begging them to help or at least try. They both refused. Neither of these individuals should be working with the public. They have no interest in helping people. The absolute lack of empathy was horrific and terrorizing. It was like they actually enjoyed seeing me stressed out and frazzled.

I don’t know why it’s says “open 24/7” when its clearly not, I went today and the employees inside just looked at me and told me it was closed and after that they just kept using their phones if I could give this a -1 stars I would

I have observed that this store is frequently closed during the evening hours when I visit. This is inconvenient and does not meet the expectations of good customer service.

Not 24 hours as advertised. The employees create their own store hours by posting hand-written "Closed" signs in the window beginning around midnight. Absent management, dirty store.

First of all, this place is NOT open 24/7. In fact, they regularly lock their doors and refuse to let anyone in for hours at a time, beginning after 12:00-2:00 a.m.Why do they do this when 1) the employees are inside and don't seem busy with anything, 2) multiple customers are waiting outside— sometimes in cold and rain—for the store to open, and 3) they claim to be open 24 hours a day online and on their doors? Often, this 7-Eleven location and the only other 7-Eleven within walking distance (several blocks south, next to the Columbia Heights Metro station) are BOTH closed at night. Almost everything nearby is closed when these locations close down, cutting off some people's only affordable options to get dinner after working late. Not to mention: the store is often dirty, lacks basic inventory items sold at every other 7-Eleven, sells stale food and broken merchandise, and (some of) the employees don't seem to speak enough English to understand "Can you put a pizza in the oven?" or "Can I buy a lighter too?"At least the other 7-Eleven to the south will put up handwritten "Closed" sign. That basic courtesy is apparently too difficult for the manager of this location. The employees just lock up, stand around with the lights on, and do nothing except tell people that knock on the door to go away...why? Just why? I seriously want an answer: 7-Eleven, why does this keep happening?[I can almost guarantee I'll get an automatic reply telling me to submit my feedback on their website, and they will never answer the question. I can tell they really care about customer service! ?]

The employees here should be fired. They don’t wear gloves when handling food, don’t wear hairnets, the store is dirty, i’ve seen cockroaches there, this store is horrible and no one should be coming to this store.
