This pharmacy is horrible they will charge your insurance even if you don't receive medication. If you have refills be careful!!! They will keep charging the insurance and you won't be able to get medication. They also steal medication; count your pills and make sure is the right medication. Or they will send wrong medication! They will kill you be aware! And if you have a child with medication they will do the same. Shameful! Awful pharmacy. I'm about to call OSHA and the FDA. I will do it all because this is abuse!!!!!! The delivery service is horrible. They will screw you in the delivery! Don't sign nothing until you check medication!!!!!!? """ Be aware"""!!!! They send foot cream for a baby rash!!!! Horrible!!!!

I have never been more frustrated with a pharmacy in my life. These people could accidentally kill someone. My doctor submitted it to them for some reason but it turns out my CVS would cover it and Alpha told me I was wrong and that they won’t but I am not wrong. Then I was told the only way I could access the prescription is to be home and sign for it and sorry but I work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day and do not have any friends or family nearby or a doorman. Then they they could arrange for it to come in about an hour today hours ago but now I have to leave the house so I guess I’ll have to wait longer, it’s been over a month already. I wasn’t notified when I submitted the prescription that I would have to be home. They tried to reach me by phone only once.I also asked Alpha today to release the prescription so CVS could fill it and they refused and said they fixed it so it would automatically come and my first delivery to sign for would be “in the next hour” which didn’t happen. And now I realize I just don’t matter at all and can not access much needed medication.

The local delivery has been so helpful during quarantine as I don’t have a car. The staff are always very kind on the phone. Glad I found them!

I’m a nurse practitioner who receives refill requests from this pharmacy frequently for my patients. I called up there yesterday to get a medication list for a new patient who could not remember what they were previously taking. The pharmacist was very rude and kept saying “I don’t know who you are” even after explaining to him several times who I was and what was needed. I kept asking if he wanted to know my name or prescriber number so he could look me up but he refused. If he had just bothered to look up my name he would have seen that they send me refill requests frequently. The owner just responded below and said I refused to give my information but I offered to give my name, DEA, and NPI number and HE refused to take that information down. I am perfectly aware of HIPPA requirements and I was more than happy to comply with any request. If I refused to give him my information why did he finally give me the medication list? Either he broke the rules or I didn’t refuse so the owners response is clearly contradictory. He reluctantly gave me the information finally (after I explained to him that he was disrupting patient care) but then proceeded to ask me what my intentions were to do with the medication list. I didn’t feel as if this was any of his concern, as I am the provider and wanted to know the information for my records. I’ve never had this problem before with any other pharmacy and I won’t be using them again. Every other pharmacy has asked me the appropriate questions to verify who I am before discussing a mutual patient.

Can be a great pharmacy but at times the deliveries can be sporadic, phone lines would go the answering lines, they can run out of meds and the wait can take a few days, which is annoying but they can be good. I don't know why their service can be sporadic, but when they're good their good, but when they're bad they're bad. That's why I gave them 3 stars.

Solid spot, but watch out for hidden price gouging. I came here to buy a thermometer. They had one in stock, even though most other pharmacies had run out, and it had a reasonable list price. Cool. The place was clean, well-organized, and who doesn't like to support small businesses? I live nearby and was ready to make this my regular pharmacy... Then I witnessed the guy helping me subtly take the price tag off of the thermometer when he thought I wasn't looking. He rang it up as 5x the listed price. Now, the final price was probably market because of the whole coronavirus thing, but what really irks me is the clear attempt to hide the upcharge. Pretty sketchy. I probably won't go back.

The worst pharmacy I ever had the displeasure of going to. Either the staff is incompatent or the just don't care about their customers, especially me. They never delivered my meds on time, sometimes they would 9 or 10 at night or not at all after I've been waiting for them all day. They absolutely do not take ur healthcare or instructions pertaining to your health. Leave this one alone....terrible. By the way, I've dealing with them for a year to try to give them a chance for them to only get worst.

I have been a customer of Alpha Peoples for several years. The service used to be wonderful. However, in the past three months, I have had to deal with at least five problems directly stemming from customer service.
It seems that every time they have a good employee that is kind and helpful they are quickly replaced with someone who is rude, unhelpful, and hastily shoves you out the door. Specifically, there seems to be limited communication between whomever answers the phone and the pharmacist. In fact, when an employee does communicate with you, they are difficult and seem to barely know what they are doing. Also their delivery people are regularly incompetent. I wanted to support a neighborhood small business but I no longer can tolerate the poor customer service, in fact, I would rather go to a large chain than Alpha Drugs, it's been downhill for years and regardless of what they do for the greater community, I just can't tolerate them anymore! Put your money to better use and just to Grubbs down the block or ANYWHERE else!
