Met with three veterinarians already and they have all been very patient and kind, both with my pets and myself. This is my first year as a pet owner and each of them have helped me feel more confident about choosing to adopt. Strongly recommend.

We have used AtlasVet for our rescue pup since we adopted him seven years ago, and appreciate the easy walk for quality vet care. The front desk staff are top-notch: friendly, caring, and responsive, which is especially wonderful when dealing with a challenge or illness. There has been some turnover in recent years with a few wonderful doctors leaving, but we are happy to have finally seen Dr. Miller who really “gets” our anxious guy. So glad to have Atlas Vet in our neighborhood!

There aren’t enough good things I can say about this business! From the vets that are so kind and caring during the visits to the rockstar office staff who are so welcoming and helpful. We had another vet in the area that made vet visits incredibly stressful and lacked empathy, but it’s the total opposite for this group. I’m almost positive my pets enjoy going to the vet because they have such a great atmosphere and staff that make it possible.
I called after realizing my cat had an ingrown toenail that was making him limp and they fit us in for an emergency visit even when they did not have to, and they snuck in his annual exam with his vaccines. Their prices also feel so fair, transparent and not like we’re being taken advantage of in moments of weakness! Would highly recommend to any pet parent.

Atlas Vet is truly the best veterinary facility I have ever worked with. Not just their veterinarians, but their entire staff is incredible. The vet techs are so kind and helpful, the front desk staff is empathetic and efficient, and just in general the whole facility operates beautifully. They have been so kind to our family for many years and we are very grateful to have them as part of our lives.

I recently took my small dog to Atlas Vet on H Street for an ear infection. While the initial consultation appeared thorough, I was disappointed with the service I received. The technician initially suggested I could clean my dog's ear at home, which I was prepared to do. However, they proceeded to perform what they called a "deep cleaning" in only one ear.
To my surprise, all they did in my presence (my dog was never taken from me during the visit) was pass a gauze soaked in a solution over my dog's ear, which was a very superficial cleaning at best. Despite this, I was charged $54 for what they claimed was a deep cleaning. This charge felt misleading and unprofessional, especially given that they had originally offered me the option to handle it at home.
When I questioned the ear cleaning during checkout, the manager, "Chloe," came from the back and, in a very disrespectful manner, began yelling at me, insisting that I needed to pay for the cleaning. This behavior was completely unacceptable and only added to my frustration with the service.
I understand that vet care can be costly, but I expect honesty, transparency, and respect when receiving care for my pet. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling overcharged and disrespected for something that did not match the level of care I was led to believe my dog was receiving. I will not be returning and would advise others to be cautious of potential upcharges for minimal services and unprofessional conduct.

Atlas Vet has been our primary vet since we moved to DC a couple of years ago. Our first visit was out of convenience because we could walk there. We continue going because every person we encounter at Atlas is kind, caring, attentive, and responsive. The entire team is amazing!

Although we’ve moved from DC, we still make the 20 mile trek to Atlas for our dog because they are the best around. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL and they truly love what they do and it shows. They treat our dog like their own - so much so that our dog LOVES going there. He knows as soon as he’s in there he’ll be given a ton of treats and attention, along with doctors and staff that care for his well being.
In addition, the front desk staff is exceptional. During longer visits, I’ve been able to see them navigate all sorts of pet parents beautifully and with respect, especially when those people aren’t being as respectful. They work really hard to make sure you’re heard and advocate when you have an emergency. Regardless of where we are in the DMV, Atlas will always be who we trust with our most precious family members. Thank you Atlas!
