Beware when shopping at Baker Furniture. They have nice, quality furniture however they don't care about the customer experience. I recently purchased a lovely sofa, but unfortunately upon delivery, the company was unable to get the sofa in the house. When doing so they damaged my front door and wall area. After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided I wanted to return the sofa and exchange it for something else. The process was a nightmare. I was blamed for the sofa not being able to fit and they wanted to penalize me a restocking fee of 50%! How ridiculous when I just wanted to exchange it for another sofa. Furthermore, as a sale professional in furniture, they should inquire about the space etc. I'm envisioning the sofa, and entry points of the home to advise me accordingly. Of course, none of those details were discussed. Not doing so highlights the lack of sales professionalism and shows it's just a clerk on a mission to make a sale.

I have been a Baker furniture customer for more than two decades furnishing multiple rooms with Baker products. I was always happy with their products and services until recently. I guess they are no longer the company they used to be. One of our dining tables which we bought in 2015, four years ago has the wood peeling off from its base. I reached out to the Georgetown store and they told me since I had bought the table with a discount, they couldn't do anything for me. I paid $4000 for the table and its not enough for them. I called the Baker HQ and left a voice mail but still have not heard back. This is unacceptable for a company which deems itself so high and exclusive and charges so much for their products. If they can't stand behind their products, why bother pay so much?#bakerfurniture #bakershowroom #bakergeorgetown

I came in with no furniture and no real idea of how I wanted my new place to look. Donia helped me out with picking a style, specific pieces of furniture and accessories to really make my place my home. Even on her days off, she would make herself available to answer any questions I have and weigh in on ideas for my place. Now, I constantly get compliments on my furniture and how it all comes together. I can't speak highly enough about Donia and the entire BoConcept team. Everything has been fantastic.

This was my first experience with BOConcept. I have previously shopped primarily at Ligne Roset. I am extremely satisfied with the service received and with the quality of the products I bought. Ayman helped me through the entire process, providing me with various options from which to select. He was always available to help and, I must say, very patient when I made changes to the order. The quality of the furniture received is excellent and met all my expectations. The delivery date of the furniture occurred on the promised date. The "white glove" delivery service is superb. They handled the delivery with extreme care and everything was left spotless. An overall excellent experience. Highly recommend!! Thanks again for everything Ayman.

I helped my boss order a beautiful couch from Bo Concept. Jose, helped us pick the perfect color and place the order. He was very professional and helpful, even as we went back and forth AND back AND forth over the details. They also were willing to send the couch to CT which was a huge plus. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the delivery. Evidently, because Bo Concept does not often deliver that far, they used a new delivery service called XPO Logistics. And they were very unprofessional. They sent only the deliver to help unload a huge couch and refused to move it up 3 steps. Both myself and Jose (mainly Jose, he's amazing) have to argue with them just to get them to carry out the delivery. Long story short: Bo Concept is great, especially Jose. XPO Logistics Sucks. Be sure to get a different delivery company.

After sightseeing in Washington, my cousin and I decided to make a quick stop in Georgetown for some cupcakes. If you didn't know already, Georgetown Cupcake is a popular show on the television network TLC. Of course the line extended to the street was a good indicator that the fifteen minute drive was totally worth it. I was beyond excited to try these out for the very first time! I couldn't decide what to get of course so logically I chose six flavors to try out. Honestly, these were the best cupcakes I ever tried. Each and every one of those cupcakes had such rich flavor, perfectly moist, and not too sweet. The customer service was great, the ambiance was very cute, and the cupcakes were reasonably priced. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you have a cupcake craving!

The line outside this place says it all. There's a reason people wait in line for these cupcakes!! And the reason why we waited as well. We were not disappointed. I walked out of there with a dozen and each one was just scrumptious!! Best cupcakes on the planet!!

I am an unapologetic minimalist. I like clean lines and modern furniture with high functionality. Essentially, I like everything that even remotely channels the interior and exterior of Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water House. BoConcept fills my uncluttered space with beautiful furniture! I could recount how thoroughly satisfied I am with BoConcept of Georgetown on any platform, but honestly there is not enough room. Yet, I would be remiss if I did not take the opportunity to acknowledge and compliment what truly matters in a customer-centric relationship -- a company that stands behind their brand and intuits customer expectations. BoConcept is more than beautifully designed furniture -- it's a harmonious relationship for a lifetime. Thanks!

A few of our Lyft drivers talked about this place so we had to try it. So worth it, they are delicious. We were able to get in and put in about 20 minutes and the scenery in Georgetown is beautiful.

This is THE place to shop if you want high-quality furniture and a Company that stands behind its furniture, no ifs, and or buts. Probably one of the best customer service experiences we have ever had. Recently, we became aware that one of our BoConcept dining room chairs was unsteady and, upon our inspection, noticed that a metal joint under the chair had separated making it unsafe to sit on. There was no way we could fix it and it was part of a set with other matching chairs. We initially contacted Ayman A., design consultant at BoConcept, Georgetown for assistance with our problem. The response we received from Ayman and subsequently Tim M, the owner, was very positive and encouraging even though our chair was several years old and had been purchased at a different BoConcept store. Tim arranged for the damaged frame portion of our chair to be replaced at no cost to us. I don't know how many other retailers would help their customers under these circumstances...item not purchased recently and from a different franchisee. And that's why we can say that BoConcept truly believes in customer service!

This is the place to shop!!! Very modern high quality furniture that will add swag to your space. Ayman was very helpful by giving us an interior designer's perspective and making recommendations. Prices are higher than your average big box furniture store, but quality and style are what you're getting at BoConcept.

Call me archaic, but the new world of retail and shopping causes me anxiety for many reasons. They range from the reduction in the number of physical shops making finding and getting there a challenge, to dealing with ill-informed associates focused on personal devices, to a feeling of judgment and trespassing while in the store, and to staff who aren't empowered to resolve issues without a manager. Customer service is now a trait possessed by a limited number who consider their job more than a stepping stone. So upon walking into the Washington, D.C. Bo Concept store, right at the moment they were about to lock the doors for the day, my anxieties of personal shopping slowly began to evaporate. The staff greeted me with a sincere appreciation of the time I took to go there. The environment was contrary to what I've come to expect, underscored by their sincere greetings and personal attention to me that I've essentially resigned as a lost art in retail since the onset of e-commerce. I was openly welcomed by Cecilia. She didn't tell me to leave or that they're closed. She invited me in and offered her help and told me honestly to take my time. I was put at ease by Cecila's congeniality, help and knowledge of the products. She informed me of their sample floor sale, took the time to show me options throughout the entire store, a time consuming endeavour, and even contacted a client who put items I wanted on hold, to see if they were still interested in them. This completely stunned me. My entire visit was not only painless from shopping, purchasing, follow-up and delivery, it was most enjoyable and quite memorable. Cecilia occasionally contacts me to make sure everything is working out as I had hoped; something that many bricks and mortar stores don't bother to do. As an architect, interior designer and discerning shopper, having the ability to see, touch and experience products accompanied by professional, friendly and knowledgable staff is more valuable than any online fire sale. This traditional way of shopping, in my option, results in happier and satisfied customers, a lower probably of returns and in the end, a personal advocate for the company - the best marketing any establishment could hope for. I left the store so happy and with a feeling of complete satisfaction. Thank you Cecilia and the associates of BoConcept for keeping alive the art of personal shopping. joel Meneses San Francisco, CA
