I don't think I went on a good day. And I don't want to say anything bad. I just know that the kids enjoyed themselves

Worst pool management! They close the kiddy pool and force all parents to take their infants and toddlers into the adult pool, which is over crowded by older children and adults, risking the little one's safety. Their reasoning is that they do not have a life guard for the kiddie pool, however, there are plenty of lifeguards just sitting around in their shade by the adult pool. Also, it is the most archaic system just to even enter the premises. You've to around into the building and get the security check and sign in MANUALLY, then go out again around the fence to enter the pool if you have a stroller (since there are no elevators), this even completely defies the purpose of a security check and makes it extremely inconvenient. The manager is rude and inconsiderate and needs SERIOUS diversity training.

Banneker pool is a great (and free!) respite from the summer heat for DC residents, but the very limited hours at the start of this season is disappointing. My family has enjoyed the pool for the last several summers. I would give 5 stars if they were open 6 days a week as they were previously. It’s always been crowded and I expect will be even more so with these hours for the next month.

I love Banneker Pool! Spacious, beautiful pool.I only made it to two different pools this year. DC seems to have doubled the number of lounge chairs at both pools. So much better!

The pool is very nice! I've been come to this pool for 30years I love it so much. But now in 2023 I'm never going back after what I experience on yesterday. The white people can have it.

One of the nicer public pools in DC for lap swimmers with a 50-m long lap pool. Given the amount of deck space, it is usually crowded with sunbathers, but around 5/6 PM on weekdays, the pool is quite crowded, so be ready to circle swim.Like other DC pools, it is free for DC residents with a $3-$7 fee for nonresidents. The locker rooms have over 100 lockers, although I would recommend bringing your bag onto the deck with you since most public pools are notorious for thievery. The showers have nice water pressure but many are missing shampoo containers. They also have some pretty nice temperatures too. The biggest perk is they have installed a water filtration system to fill up water bottles.

Lots of chairs and fun vibe. Free admission for dc residents. If you are a dc resident but don’t have a dc drivers license, bring a screenshot/copy of your lease to prove residency
