Management changed. Watched the cashier add a 15% tip for himself when he thought I wasn't paying attention. Why in God's name is there a tip option in the first place? It's a self service liquor store, why should there be a tip involved?

The owner is very kind and knowledgeable about the wines. He gives some of the best recommendations for whatever mood you're looking for. Plus, the prices are good. Nothing crazy, unlike other liquor/ wine stores throughout the city.

Never been disappointed here. You can find everything and anything they don't have, they will find it for you. Customer service is second to none and I'm always willing to support a local business.

This liquor store is hands down the best in town! The selection is incredible, with everything from popular brands to rare finds, but what really sets it apart is the service. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to offer recommendations or help you find exactly what you’re looking for. They even went out of their way to order a specific bottle I had been searching for. The store is well-organized, making it easy to browse, and I never feel rushed. A fantastic experience every time—highly recommend!

One of my regular stops, nice owner and staff. Decent selection of beer, wine and liquors for whatever occasion. If you can't find what you are looking for, then try Guilford liquors at 5th & Rhode Island Ave, NW. Certain varieties of items that one does not have, the other store does.
