Dejah might be one of the best sales associates I’ve ever met! She made bluemercury a very welcoming space, something that, much like a few other reviewers, I did not think was possible. She took the time to explain ingredient lists to me, learn my skin type, and talk with me while redoing my entire base routine to color match me! I cannot recommend her enough, so if you go to this location, ask for Dejah!

a friend and I stopped in a few weeks back to browse and instantly felt like we weren't wanted. no one came over to help yet the one worker we did see was obviously watching us. it had been raining out so we did look a bit disheveled but I absolutely got the vibe they thought we were going to steal. weird experience, wouldn't return.

Horrible staff. I entered and asked about the price of a specific product. The person close to it didn't make any effort to tell me the price, just picked up the box as I had already decided to pay for it and try to push a number of other products (I didn't ask for) on me and that had no relation whatsoever to my skin issues. When I was told the price I said no thank you and staff simply stopped talking to me after shrugging their shoulders. Rude and useless. My first time there was also terrible. This was my second and I'll not go back.

Staff is impossibly rude and more interested in their private customers than their customers. Try a different location.

Should update store hours. Came here from the P St location because this one said it was open until 7pm — it’s not. They were closed when I arrived at 6:40.

Google says they close at 7pm via google, but closed at 6pm. Wouldn’t come to door, overall rude.

I'm not a huge makeup fan but what I do buy, I buy here. The staff are lovely and helpful, and I think the founder is a Cornellian! Dupont location in DC the best.

I have been a repeat customer for many many years, particularly with their holiday party deal. In addition I shop throughout the year to get stuff I run out of. However the last 3 times I was not given/offered samples which is advertised on their site - the big jar is right there! I don't necessarily need samples bc I have plenty from the holiday parties but still, at least offer. Purchasing my products elsewhere and boycotting BM.

Big props to Jasmine. I came in for some foundation. I walked out with a small handful of products. No hard sell at all. jasmine did a beautiful day look for me. She's amazing and the products here are too.
