Arrived 10PM during shift change. Credit card swiping gave a failed message, so I paid $20 cash to the clerk. Very surprised when the charge also came through on my credit card.

Credit card reader at pump says authorizing for a long time, but if you ask the attendant, they say it went thru . . . Very annoying.

We have been long-time Hill residents and used Distads as our car repair shop for many years. Since it has changed hands, we have had two very positive experiences with the new team. Before the holidays, they took care of a few repairs for an older van that we were selling, with a quick turnaround time and reasonable prices. Today, I called in the morning to have a nail removed from my tire and a plug put in. They told me to come on in, and when I arrived, these repairs were handled right away--and no charge! This is the kind of customer service that keeps folks coming back for the larger repairs. Highly recommend!

I have used this station for 37 years through 2 cars. I did not know that the Distad family sold the business earlier this year. They kept my car for a day and a half. This for an oil change and fuse replacement. This place has a completely different cost structure. The regular counter person is very friendly but the guy dealing with my car was a bit rude and short with me. How this all could have cost me nearly 200 is beyond me. PS, If I ever come back, I want a receipt the next time you purchase parts for me. Not only a receipt from you, but additionally a receipt from where it was purchased. That should be a given. They also forgot to use the oil in my trunk, which I told them about the day before. The Distad's never would have let my car sit there for a day and a half. Never. I'm very disappointed.

This rating is mostly for when they were called Distads, my car was worked on several times always did a great job and I never felt taken advantage of as far as the cost they were extremely reasonable. They are no longer there and the business has been taken over by Metro Motors as this is what it is called now. I dealt with them once so far, I heard sloshing (water sound) in my car while driving and at the same time my engine light came on, I took my car to them and was told there was water in my rear driver side door, they repaired it and they also cleared some pines (a lot that had accumulated around the lower part of my front window and wiper blades, I appreciated that). I was told that my CEL code meant nothing and they reset it, the charge was extremely reasonable. Now I have to say 5 days later my CEL was back on and I took my car to autozone to get a reading turns out I needed a new thermometer and my antifreeze changed, I had that taken care of elsewhere and my light has stayed off since that time. I recommend the business.

The only place in DC that had a bathroom for an Uber driver from out of town. Either everybody else’s bathroom was broken or “one wasn’t built into the establishment”. Thank you BP, I appreciate you!

This is a horrible business, I wouldn't trust sending your car. I got an estimate and sent for repairs but they never reached out to me about parts or issues, claiming they didn't have my number when I gave them all the information for an initial estimate. They allowed my car to be tampered with while at the shop. It has a horrible smell and random items in it when it was picked up. Please save yourself and use another auto shop!!!!!

Beware! The place has been sold.I was a loyal customer of Distad's for over 35 years. It was the best. John Distad gave great customer service and was one of the most honest people I have ever met in my life. My car was always fixed right the first time, and I almost always got it back exactly when promised.But he just sold the place and retired, and the new owner is the polar opposite. He is incredibly rude. He kept my car twice as long as he said he would, and then he blamed me for the delay, falsely claiming that I had failed to return a phone call that he had never made.STAY AWAY!!!!
