Great overall experience! The location was great, the showroom was beautiful and newly renovated, and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. I do wish there was an elevated experience in terms of offering a welcome water/coffee/champagne given there will be thousands of dollars spent with the company. Also, we were told that we'd receive a summary email about our visit and never received that, which would've been very helpful as we narrowed down which ring we wanted.

Brilliant earth sent my engagement ring out for a standard cleaning & refurbishment that I can get yearly as part of my extended service plan, but had never previously taken advantage of. Over the course of the 2 months they had my ring they somehow damaged it so badly that they needed to remake the entire ring to send back to me. I was obviously devastated and had to call multiple times to try and get updates and information, and everyone I spoke to told me something different including that I was supposed to pay for the remake at one point. Would never shop here again or recommend this place to anyone especially for such an important and sentimental piece of jewelry.

Asia was literally perfect! She was so helpful, with the best understanding of learning the individual to give guided, needed direction on looking for an engagement ring! We loved her and the experience!

Just adding to the bad reviews this place has: I wanted to go look at some wedding bands while I was in town, but their website did not list any available appointments. It did, however, give you an option to request a time if something later opened up. I was excited when I got a voicemail the next day saying an appointment had, indeed, opened up. My next free moment, I called back to accept the appointment, except no one answered. I left a voicemail and no one called me back. It's been a week. I think I can say at this point, they're not going to call me back. What kind of customer service is this? The exact kind you should expect from this store! I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

Went in for a ring appointment with Julie. She and the appointment were great. We never felt rushed or upsold. Truly felt listened to, educated, and guided throughout the entire appointment. The rings were beautiful and they had a great selection.

Truly had an amazing experience at this location and all thanks to Kaylee W. for making it all happen. I couldn't have asked for a better individual to assist me with purchasing an engagement ring for my special lady. Kaylee is definitely very knowledgeable and understands the importance of the process which i truly enjoyed her patience with me. Not once did she ever rush me or steered me into the wrong direction for my ring of choice. I would definitely recommend booking an appointment with Kaylee if you want the best service and assistance.

I had an excellent experience shopping for my engagement ring at Brilliant Earth in Georgetown and was met with the best customer service by their specialist, Hannah McNeal. Originally I knew next to nothing about diamonds or rings, but Hannah was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to pinpoint my preferences and offer me a variety of settings to try on. After our appointment, she even sent me pictures of engagement ring and wedding band combinations on her hand so that I didn’t have to wait to get another appointment. I never felt pressured or overwhelmed, and now I have my perfect ring from their collection to show my boyfriend :)

My fiance got my engagement ring here. Whole I love it, he had tried to get it custom. Unfortunately, their customer service could not get together the custom order and we gave up. We went with a standard version of the setting.We went back in to get the men's wedding band. We were greeted with "So, mother and son?" Seriously! This is how you make a bride feel when she is out with her fiance in what is supposed to be a nice day....by making her feel like she looks old enough to be her fiance's mother. For context....I'm 42. My fiance is 36. This was incredibly hurtful and I bad taste.We walked out of our appointment within five minutes with a ruined day

My engagement ring was purchased on Brilliant Earth's website and we came to the DC store to try on wedding bands and purchased a band in person. The rings are both white gold and I have found the white gold wears off very quickly. About one month ago, I sent both rings to be refurbished and replated because they were looking gold instead of white gold. The process to have a jewelry specialist call you after the rings have been shipped to New Jersey is extremely inefficient. I have been waiting a month and have not spoken to anyone. I called today to have my rings sent back to me and I will have the replating done somewhere else. Beware of quality and customer service after your purchase.

Very disappointed! After seeing lots of ads and gorgeous engagement rings online my boyfriend and I had planned to make over an hour trip JUST to go visit there Bethesda location. No where on there website does it say u can't walk in and see jewelry like most other jewelry stores. They "recommend" an appointment but maybe should say if u wanna see more than 10 rings u should make an appointment. So once getting there no appointment or accommodation was offered since we were already there, just said we could come back another day With an appointment. Apparently this store isn't for me, I'm not potentially wasting other people's time to just look at jewelry. Long story short I am not going out of my way to go to this store no matter the customizations they offer.

I truly cannot say enough bad things about this company. They completely ruined my wedding band experience. I ordered two rings on May 15th that I tried on in store that I wanted soldered together. They were both slightly curved and sat flush. Our sales associate placed the order and said it would be a 4 week turnaround. After 4 weeks I went to try on the rings in store and it was not at all what I ordered. There was a giant gap in between the two rings as one was way curvier than the other. They sent them back and after 4 weeks of the company just sitting on them I was told they could not be soldered together to sit flush so they were going to send them separately. I went to look at them and again saw that one was way curvier than the other. The receptionist looked and realized that the salesperson had ordered the wrong rings hence why they had two different curves. We sent them back again requesting the incorrect ring by swapped out with the correct ring. That was on June 8. Since then, I have tried calling numerous times and even visited the store in person to try and get an update on when my rings will be ready. The customer service line could not provide an update, and the receptionist in store said there is no manager in store and that they do not give out any managerial contact information. I was visibly upset and crying in the store, she simply typed a message into their company portal and that was all she could do. You would think at least one person at this company would show a glimpse of concern or care for the nature of business that they are in. I wish I could just cancel my order and look elsewhere but unfortunately I have run out of time and my wedding is quickly approaching. I called 3 different times today and spoke to 3 different reps who all told a different story about where my rings are and when they will be delivered. Will I ever get my rings? Idk. Do not shop here. Ever.

Diamonds were very pretty and felt pretty secure and safe to enter. However at the appointment to see engagement rings, everything felt very rushed and seemed that the expectation is to buy the ring after the first appointment which doesn’t sit right with me as it is a big financial purchase. I’d go elsewhere. Market street diamonds nearby however was an awesome first appointment experience so thats where i’ll be go

My partner and I set up an appointment online. When we got there we were extremely confused because the place looked desolate. You'll find a call box, and you'll be let in if you have an appointment. Then you'll enter into two more keyless entry doors. Super secure, but understandably so. It was a fun experience. I came in with zero knowledge of rings or what I want, but now I have a general idea. Learned about the 4 C's and the different shapes of a Diamond. Asia was really kind and helpful and she even helped size my finger -- the smallest ring size she's ever fit at 3.75 LOL Highly recommend setting up an appointment if you are completely clueless as I was coming in. You'll definitely find some...clarity on your engagement ring :)

I am extremely disappointed in this company, customer service, support and overall quality. I have had my engagement ring for a little over a year now "the Aimee Diamond ring " to be exact and it literally broke in half. And now it's been just weeks of back and forth with the company about the metal and it has just been the most frustrating and painful and hurtful experience. It is just crazy to not stand behind your own product and to refuse accountability for your product. So disappointing, and for it to split in half while i was wearing it was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing.
