This applies to the ATM only: I followed the faded and peeled off directions and neither set of doors would open.

Worst experience ever! I am a young Black professor at a DC area university and wanted to bank with a small financial institution versus a mega bank. I walked into this bank hoping to open an account and the two associates looked at me like I did not belong there and continued to assist their previous customer. I was never verbally recognized or offered a seat but sat patiently regardless. Once I was finally invited to the counter, I was immediately handed paperwork and told that because I am not a business owner, that I would be subjected to a financial background check. It was a weird requirement, but I submitted the paperwork as directed. About a week later I was informed that I would not be able to open an account due to my banking background. I called ChexSystems, the service they told me was used to make their decision and requested a copy. Once it arrived, I saw a SINGLE overdraft fee that incurred almost 5 years ago! These folks didn't want any part of my business from first sight!

I had a great experience! Brent Mendelson made the process of refinancing smooth and easy! I will continue doing my business with him and refer my friends!

With many nearby locations closing, this Capital One Bank is one of the only ones left in downtown DC. It's pretty large with tellers in the back and two ATMs in the front that are always available. It's a short walk from the Farragut North Metro.

I am a customer and I love the bank itself but this location is horrible! 30 minutes plus in line is unacceptable! They really need to get it together!

Capital One apparently decided that it no longer wants to be a bank, and rather would be a hipster coffee shop. The desks? Gone! The computers? Gone! Instead - couches, end tables, and iPads. But there is free Peet's. Guess what? When I go to a bank, I have serious business to conduct. I don't want to sit next to a banker (or are they now really baristas?) at an awkward angle. I don't want to wait for them to try to figure out how to use a cutesy tablet to process major financial transactions. This seems like a Monty Python sketch come to life. Except it's not funny. I can only assume that Capital One thinks this will somehow attract Millenials. I'm pretty sure they're wrong, but even if they aren't, how many new impoverished customers will they need to attract to replace high-balance long-time customers who head for the exit? There are easily dozens of REAL banks in walking distance. Just sayin'.

Slow and terrible customer service. Three people working and only one person (slowly) helping.
