Two of my good friends recommended getting my hair colored with Hava after seeing her and Yvonne for years. I’m so glad they introduced us, because Hava is amazing!!
My experience:
- I found an inspo pic on Hava’s Instagram (@havalestylist). I didn’t know what service to book, so I messaged her. She promptly responded with the details, color, and the link to book.
- The salon is on the 2nd floor, but very easy to find. At first I thought it was 1 room, but then saw it spans the whole floor. Beautiful salon! There were only 2-3 other stylists at the same time, so it wasn’t very noisy.
- It look about 1 hour to color my hair, 30 mins to wash, 20 mins to tone, and another 1 hour to dry & style. Overall, took 3 hours.
- I told Hava that I hate when my hair gets bronzy, so she noted that and updated my color to be slightly cooler-toned. I really appreciated that because my hair gets bronze SO fast.
- Hava herself is VERY sweet and friendly, constantly checking how I was doing and if I needed anything.
- My total for Full Highlights + Blow Out was $310 - NOT a bad price for DC at all!!!!
** NOTE - if you’re using Uber or Lyft, put in the ADDRESS from Google. The apps will put you about 10 mins away where there’s another Cavalry Salon sign, but it’s not the correct one. It’s only a 10 min walk from the other one though, so it wasn’t too big of a deal.
Overall I HIGHLY recommend seeing Hava! I haven’t been this happy with my hair since moving to DC 4 years ago. Definitely worth your business ?

Over the years I’ve seen so many stylists and been to countless salons. I can say with full confidence that Yvonne is the BEST in DC. I’ve been seeing her for a year now and she is an absolute miracle worker!!! I always walk out of our appointments together feeling confident, excited, and ready to take on my day. She is extremely generous, thoughtful, and nails what I am looking for every single time. My only regret is not finding her sooner— please go and see her!!
(I typically go for the Blow dry/ haircut combo, and occasionally will pop in for a quick bang trim.)

I am SO thrilled to have found Yvonne and the team at Cavalry Salon here in DC. I wanted to return closer back to my natural color after years of blonde highlights and they did a BEAUTIFUL job. I cannot recommend this spot enough. I had a blast the entire time I was there, but I could also fully trust they were going to do a phenomenal job. The reviews brought me in and the team delivered!! So happy to have found a solid new spot in DC after moving from out of town. Thanks again, Yvonne! <3

Everyone at this salon is amazing! I have been going to Hava for almost 3 years now, and she has done everything from balayage to keratin treatments to single process color on my hair, and has done AMAZING at all of it. Hava is truly a perfectionist at what she does, and leaves me feeling 10000% better about my hair every time I go to her.

These guys are frauds. Made an appointment (paid the advance fee) and called for some basic information. They were extremely rude over the phone and didn’t want to talk. So I cancelled within the 24-hour period. Emailed them for a refund of the advance fee. They write me back once but never responded to the refund request. I ended up filing a dispute with the help of my AMEX along with the emails. This is what they found after investigation:
“We’ve finished investigating your dispute and have credited your account $18.00.”
Stay away from them. Hairdressers with mild intentions to scam people when they can get away with it.

Loved my experience at this salon! From the beautiful location, to the friendliness/customer service of salon staff, to my sister and my amazing cuts. I have very curly hair and because of my past high maintenance cuts wasn’t able to maintain them. It was such a transformation that Yvonne did and I felt amazing seeing my curls revived. Appreciated her taking the reins and making suggestions while taking into account of my natural curls. Definitely will be returning in the future!

Yvonne was phenomenal. Truly the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. The entire experience was amazing. The whole staff was extremely kind and very professional. I asked for long layers with face framing pieces and I got exactly that. Would 100% recommend. I’m in love with my hair

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! Always hard to find a new hairstyles but after reading amazing review after amazing review I booked Yvonne for a haircut and was not disappointed. She was AMAZING! I have long hair and was looking to keep the length and add some layers and it came out perfect could not be happier. She’s detailed precise and perfect. I have super thick hair and Gladys gave me the blow out of my dreams!!! So I will 10000% be coming back. THANK YOU LADIES!
