It was my first time in DC, and we walked in randomly and saw they had a nice mini market. We decided to sit and eat. Unfortunately, the food was overrated overpriced. Very small bland portions. Rude staff. Very arrogant towards tourists. We won't be dining here again. Down the sidewalk, there's a nice gelato spot to hit to cheer you up about an unfortunate dining experience.

Service was truly five stars--very attentive and nice, but the place as a whole is overrated and overpriced. Food was mediocre at best, and I didn't expect that seeing as how our table of 2 was already $26 in with just bread, water, and iced tea in front of us. Yikes.

The service at Centrolina was amazing! I came on a busy Thursday night without a reservation and we were quickly accommodated. Once seated our waiter was warm and welcoming. He provided great recommendations and continued to check on us throughout our meal. Every bite was amazing and they had a great selection of mocktails. The vibe was buzzy but not to loud to enjoy a conversation at the table. Definitely a spot I will visit again.

Very clean. Bartender was attentive and polite. Food was good. Small menu but it had vegi options. A little over priced but what do you expect for DC.

Don't dine here for a glass of wine and light dinner - you'll offend the waitress and be moved to the bar. We had enjoyed a film at E Street Cinema so I suggested Centrolina, a short walk from the theater. I had a glass of Nero d'Avola, she had a Rose, and we split an entree. To our surprise, the moment we finished we were informed if we didn't want dessert our waitress "would be happy to move [us] to the bar"! Centrolina markets itself as a chic, higher-end Italian restaurant but don't take someone special there -- this is not the place to linger over a glass of wine and conversation. The objective, it seems, is rather to clear the table and run your credit card. Be forewarned.

The overall experience was underwhelming. Unique and vibrant atmosphere. Service was good although robotic. Food was trying too hard too be special and was not very good.

The food in Centrolina has been consistently good throughout the years. Service is excellent, non intrusive yet attentive. Our server recommended most of the things we ordered. The tuna crudo was so fresh, perfectly seasoned. The beet salad was refreshing. Branzino was on point as always. The h

While I was visiting DC my friend took me here for dinner because it's centrally located in DC down a cute block of town and is known for its homemade Italian pasta. I wasn't wow'd here. The average pasta dish was about $30 which is very overpriced- I live in a big city and this is even a lot. The bread and olive oil was fine. We also split a salad - it was fine as well. And the pasta just lacked flavor and salt. I am assuming they don't salt their water when cooking the pasta. The homemade noddles themselves were good, but I've had and made myself much better noodles. The sauces were blah. I just wasn't thrilled by the flavors here. Would I come back, probably not. But the staff was kind and the service was good. Pros: staff, service, location Cons: lack of flavor, prices

The service was outstanding, with excellent recommendations from our server. The tuna sausage was a unique and delightful dish I haven't tried before, making me eager to return. The scallops were perfectly charred, contributing to an overall fantastic dining experience.

Tasty and fun. We had a friendly waiter who accommodated my request to sub a different pasta in my dish. He also suggested a nice wine. We had a good experience. A little on the pricey side but I guess eating out these days is just really expensive.
