I had a strange experience on a Wednesday night. Mostly empty place so I expected quick service but it took 30 minutes for our drinks and 45 minutes for shawarma and hookah. The waitress was a bit rude. Everything was expensive and that’s ok because it’s Georgetown but I expected the ambiance to match the prices and it didn’t. I felt the atmosphere was cheap and run down. They didn’t even have a central music system. We had to ask to connect to a portable speaker to play music and when one speaker died they brought out another one. (Resourceful but odd for a DC hookah place) We had to play our own music because the place didn’t have any! Very odd. The seating wasn’t great either, the decor looked cheap. However I’m giving 3 stars because the food and hookah were good. I might return here on a weekend to see if the vibe is better but a rum and coke being $10 is outrageous.

This place is obviously more famous for the hookah bar and the music, which btw are amazing. However me and my friends ended up here late in the night and we only wanted to eat. The food was fantastic!! The falafel platter was super fresh and delicious. The fries were perfect and even the salad tasted amazing. Highly recommend this place!

First time here and regret walking in. It was horrible food. Horrible service. I will never return and I will be sure to tell all my friends amd family not to enter this place. They overcharge and add things to the bill that don’t make sense. We asked for the owner and he really couldn’t explain the bill and he wasn’t willing to do anything about the overages. And before that we asked the waitress for a receipt they said you will get after. I said no I want it now. Why am I paying 210$ for a hookah 2 shawarma 1 falafel and a coffee and 2 drinks. And I asked what’s the service charge she said it’s for the restaurant not her. I said get the owner and that’s when he came and couldn’t explain anything and was very rude about it. I asked the owner what’s the service charge also. He said it’s a service charge. I told him yes I can read that. But what does that mean who is it for. He finally after 2 minutes said it’s for the waitress. The waitress lied also amd said it’s for the restaurant before the owner finally answered us. Owner is a scumbag liar amd trained his staff how to lie. Be careful there is you don’t listen to this review and stay away. Go to Virginia’s middle eastern places. Much better food amd service. And you don’t have to see the kind of lying owner of this place

The worst restaurant experience that I’ve ever had! And I do not recommend anyone come to this place at all!!!!The Waitresses purposefully make it a point to serve black last or make them wait longer when they’ve been waiting to get served like everyone else!!By far the worst experience that I’ve ever had coming to DC and it will be my last time ever stepping foot in this restaurant I will never recommend anyone to ever come here !!!!

Went to this lounge over the weekend. Was so impressed! Hookah was very fresh and tasty. Champagne was chilled. We enjoyed our evening very much so! Everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Very laid back and chill ambiance. Would totally recommend for a small group or couple looking for a relaxing evening.. Falafel and fries were great! Will be back!

We only went for the hookah and the service was very delayed as well as the quality of hookah was very poor. We didnt even smoke for 10 minutes and left. We also noticed 3 other groups who received their hookah around the same time left abruptly. Atmosphere was weird as they had mutliple seating areas, each was different.

Was really looking forward to this spot. They messed up our order and didn't even bring our hookah to our table. We left really upset. Food was also really mediocre. I do not recommend at all. I also won't be back.

The food isn’t that great here. It lacks flavor and the restaurant itself doesn’t look so clean. Despite of that, we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and not make a big deal out of it. However, after reading other reviews here, I randomly decided to go back and check my bill. And to my much surprise, they charged me twice for tip. Be careful, place is so dishonest and scams you. They automatically charge you a “service fee” and then ask for a tip. To the customer who isn’t informed about automatic service fee charge, this isn’t fair and I’m so upset that they chose to be so deceiving. It’s just not how business is done and this is how they’re losing customers.

Traveled from Maryland to DC to enjoy the weather and smoke some hookah just to arrive and the establishment have a sign on their door saying they are closed until April 10, 2021 for construction. Waste of time and gas. They should have updated their website and Google to advertise this because it is an inconvenience

STAY AWAY. They operate illegally, do not have a liquor license yet serve alcohol in red solo cups, do not follow any COVID protocols, overcharge for gross food, and the staff/waiters/manager don't wear masks. THE worst business in DC. Not to mention it's dirty and unhygienic.

Food is good. Cozy place but unfortunately dishonest practice of double tipping ( I thought this was a honest mistake until I read few other reviews here). My bill was 47 dollars and she scroll past all screens when I gave my card and presented signing screen. After bill is paid she just walked away. I called her back and asked for receipt. OnceI got that I see there it was 74.xx with 18 percent service tax on it. when I asked for paper copy she printed . Once I started asking questions she seem confused to explain me.Another person walked in and told me it’s tax. When I told him it’s no tax he changed the tune and I said I added 20 percent tip. I said , I did plan to give 20 percent tip but since they added service fee it doubles and twine she gave me the square device it didn’t show me the typical tip screen as waiter already scrolled past it and presented it to me the sign screen. Anyway after few back and forth , they did give 12 dollars back in cash.,overall, 10-15 dollars is no big deal but the way they did it feels dishonest to me. Hope I am wrong and your bill comes out right. Food is good. Just double check your final pay.

Could definitely be a whole lot more sanitary and clean but the shawarma is definitely good.Would recommend all staff wear masks considering the covid situation. The hookah would have been better with fresh charcoal at the beginning rather than later.
