“God is amazing. This church is the image of the Catholic Church as a universal church. I am Spanish and I went to Washington for my honeymoon and I was able to attend mass in this church and I felt at home. Glory to God!!”

“As a member of the Church of Christ, my local church feels like home—my kind of people, my inheritance in Christ.

Everyone is friendly, and I’m part of that warm, welcoming atmosphere that embraces anyone who walks through the doors, inviting them into the life of the church. Does that sound like I'm bragging about myself?

It’s a wonderful place where you’ll hear the Truth spoken and beautifully taught, and you’ll love the singing. We don’t have a “Christian Eddie Vedder” performing solo guitar or vocal sets in front of everyone—nope! Here, the praise is acapella and accompanied by piano, and it’s lovely. Interestingly enough, one of our associate pastors, Christian Lawrence, reminds me of a member of the Hanson band. He’s a dear friend, though he doesn’t have anymore that golden mane of hair to toss aside when he’s about to pray or read the Scriptures—kind of like Moses' mantle. Despite that, everything about the church we call CHBC is great—perhaps even better than the golden hair of Michael Lawrence, whom I’ve nicknamed ‘Brother Paul Pitt’ because he’s a mix of them both!

You should come and experience it for yourself.

PS. I hope you appreciate the humor.

PS2. Michael Lawrence is single, that I know, and a godly young man.”

“We were on a search for purple shirts for kids school uniforms and they had the olor and size we needed. They were the only store to have it. Not even the mall had what we needed. The price was really cheap as well.”

“I love the late Sunday mass at 7 pm. This is a great option for anyone who misses early masses. But be prepared for a rather conservative sermon/homily, though. I took a friend, and he pointed this out to me after 2 masses. Parking is limited but available. I recommend the experience. It's a nice place.”

“I was there for a funeral, very early. The security officer on duty was not very warm or inviting. He was grumpy, and not pleasant at all. After that, things went very nicely. The food! AWSOME!! Wanted to take some home, but my manners won't dare let me ask. Lovely visit. Yes I would recommend and I would return for a visit.”

“It was a lovely Father's Day service with the old school church atmosphere. The music is awesome and I was fortunate to receive the authentic Word of God from Rev. Coates. I can trust their teaching. This will be my "go to" church while in DC.”
